Question about Smeg Microwave Ovens
It is repairable, the problem is the magnetron needs to be replced ( an element that emits the micro waves ) but will need to be checked to make sure its not the capacitor that starts it or the circut that controls it.
repair shops vary so ask them about how much they would charge to replace the magnetron then you will be able to tell who will end up charging you the most and who would be cheeper(aprox $50-$75 plus parts
