Question about Belkin (F5D7230-4) Router (587009)
Up until this afternoon my laptop refuses to connect to the Belkin router. It's working wired because I'm directly connected to it now. It sticks on waiting for network but never moves on to the acquiring network address part. Then it says network not connected. My other roomate is getting the wireless internet and she has a Macbook pro just like me. The lap top is picking up other networks that are nearby. I tried resetting the router, making sure the MAC filtering is off, and I changed the channel in case of interference. Is it something to do with my laptop? (It has been randomly dropping the router for a week now)
It comes down to a few things with routers and wireless connections:
1. If you have been dropping the signal over the past few weeks try doing a test on the wireless network connection via the diagnostic tool within the specific wireless connection.
2. You may have gotten a bad update to the wireless card. Try uninstalling it and then reinstalling it.
3. Try deleting the wireless connection for your router and then make 'a new' wireless connection.
