Question about Eclipse 5083 CD Changer
I have an Eclipse 5083 cd changer. The HU shows INFO 5. Based on the manual, it's a mechanical failure. I'm supposed to do a cd magazine eject procedure. But, how do I do that? Pressing the eject button won't eject the magazine. Any ideas?

SOURCE: Inoperable CD changer
Hi the alpine/merc/bmw cd changer all seam to suffer with the same problem, they say no disc, or no mag try firmly hitting the mag with the handle of a screw driver. the loadinga arm, tends to get stuck. you could try using some grease on the arms, and levers, white spray gease works best. but dont forget to cover the laser beforehand, you dont want grease on it :) Mark www.carradiospares.co.uk

good day, you may want to do it manually if its jammed, you may find a pinhole on it and u can use a paperclip, insert it in the hole and it will open. hopefully it wont jam again. hope this helps, have a nice day
