Question about Acer Computers>Laptops Aspire 5610-2328 PC Notebook
I just got my Acer Aspire 5610-2328 laptop back from being fixed at Best Buy (the fan stopped working and needed to be replaced). And now I have a problem with the touchpad that was never there before. Whenever I plug the laptop in to charge, the cursor gets gradually more difficult to move, eventually just stopping altogether. The touchpad itself and the underside of the laptop where it is also gets very hot. But a soon as I unplug it, everything goes back to normal. The cursor works fine, and the touchpad cools down. I've tried taking out the battery and putting it back in, but that didn't help it all. If anyone has any idea what may be causing this, help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.
First of all, Best Buys should honor at least a 90 day warranty on their work. Did you contact them ?
The cursor problems is caused by heat . If the laptop's fan is operating ok, the unit should never heat up to where it is "very hot". As the laptop heats up, the components will start to be erratic.Something tells me that the fan is not correctly install and is causing the overheating problem. Do not keep using the laptop in this condition, you may have greater damage if the Processor get too hot. Again, I would take back to Best Buy and speak to the Service manager about your problem. Next time you have a problem with the laptop, I advise you to ask you friends and co-workers to see if they use a tech that is knowledgeable efficient and trustworthy. I never have trusted BB!
If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it.
