Question about Haier HVR049BLW Wine Cooler

Open Question

Haier HVR049BLW Wine Cellar runs too cold and has "LL" msg

My Haier wine cellar unit is a little over 12 months old and all of a sudden is going down to 34 degrees. I have the temp set locked at 55 and then tried 60 degrees. Regardless, it goes down to 34 and the inside starts forming frost on the back panel inside the unit. The temperature goes down and an "LL" message appears there. I only know of the inside temperature because I have another thermometer I put in there. Any suggestions? I would like to repair this but not sure where to start. Is it the thermastat?
Thanks

sounds like some one tried to defrost it with an knife. you can order the evaporator thru haier but unless you know how to do sealed system work you will need a qualifed refrigeration company to repair it for you if you provide the part approximate cost in the states is around 300-400 dollars. good luck peyton

WATER SPLASHING IN FREEZER AT ICEMAKER
THE FILL TUBE IN BACK OF REFRIGERATOR CAN SLIP
AGAINST THE FILL RESERVOIR CAUSING A PARTIAL BLOCKAGE
OR BECOME CLOGGED WITH ICE.
REMOVE THE ICEMAKER AND INSPECT THE FILL TUBE.
RUN WATER IN TUBE TO ELININATE BLOCKAGE AND CHECK

OVERKILL AND USUALLY A WASTE OF ELECTRICITY TO KEEP IT THAT COLD, NOT TO MENTION THE FILL TUBE FREEZING UP

Cooling unit is running, but interior is not cool.

How long have you had this unit and did it quit suddenly or did it fail intermittently. Do you mean running where you can hear the fan and the light comes on when you open the wine cellar door? If so, I would suspect the starting relay failure on your cooler which should be very easy to replace. There should be a wiring diragram on the back of your unit somewhere and could be labeled (RT). Your compressor would be the last thing I would suspect.

Viking Wine Cellar Temperature Near-Freezing

Viking wine coolers are made by Marvel. They all had issues with freezing the contents. If you replace the electronic cold control system it will be fine.If you don't, it will freeze the wine popping the corks and leaking in the unit.If you get the parts from Marvell they are much cheaper.

Haier wine cellar HVTS18DABB top zone won't cool.

Maybe not the answer for everyone, but I proved it was the fan by removing the back panel, removing the fan and finger guard, then placing a small desktop fan that was the same size as the top-rear fan on the wine fridge. Pumping air directly over the heat sink allowed the unit to attain the temperature set on the front panel. The old fan would either not turn at all, or too slowly to be effective. These fans are junk. Especially after finding articles such as this out in different forums for the same issue. I have the HVTS18DABB model unit and the replacement fan is a simple 120mm square, 25mm deep 12V DC fan. Similar or the same as you see in computer chassis. Found some inexpensive, high CFM, low noise fans from the following site:
http://www.sidewindercomputers.com
Specific fan for my application was the model SY1225SL12SH. Although I did order a second fan that is similar in case the .5amps was too high and I popped a fuse. These fans are inexpensive folks, as long as you aren't afraid to get your hands dirty. Good luck.

My wine cellar (Model: ow0912H6H) still runs but it does not cool. What can I do? I don't believe that there is a compresser in ot. I don't know what cools it.

I had the same problem and noticed that the lint screen behind the cooler was full of lint where it was almost completely clogged. I vacummed it and it seems to have done the trick.

My kool space wine cellar is not holding temperature

has the cellar ever worked right in your home? These small refrigeration units basically move heat from a conditioned space to another space that is not objectionable such as your home where your central air system then moves the btu's. This being said, the cellar has a ventilation system that must pull in room air and push out the box air. these vents must be clean and clear of obstrucions to ensure proper performance by the equipment

Wine Cooler Does NOT get cool.

Here is the web site to locate your closest oster service center. They should be able to tell you what their charge will be up front so that you can compare that charge to the cost of a new one.

Now days, sadly, many of these items are too costly to repair so they go to the landfill..

Will not cool

HI,

if the compressor is running your ref. should be getting cold. Their is a defrost timer but when it is in defrost the compressor shuts off. I think you do have a leak.

any further question let me know.

thanks,

Fan doesn't work on oster wine cellar

First question, do you have power to the unit and the cooling fan is not working? If this is the problem then sounds like one of the two fuses in back panel has burnt out.
