Picture Flickering I have a Westinghouse LDC Television (SK-32H240S). My service is provided by AT&T U-verse. I am having a problem with my picture flickering so badly that it can not be watched. At times it flickers and the screen goes black. The DVR records the shows fine, even if the screen is flickering.

power supply if led ligth stays blue and then after a few minutes changes to orange is your power supply.if light color goes to a purple that is your mainboard $$$$$$$$$$$

I HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM. TV WAS FINE UNTIL A FEW MONTHS AGO. OF COURSE ITS OUT OF WARRANTY. FROM WHAT I HAVE READ, AND BEEN TOLD, IT IS THE POWER SUPPLY TO THE UNIT. IT IS DEFECTIVE, OR IT OVERHEATS AND TRIES TO SHUT DOWN. A LAW SUIT IS IN PROGRESS AGAINST WESTINGHOUSE TO RESOLVE THIS MATTER. KINDA REMINDS ME OF THE XBOX 360'S WHEN THEY CAME OUT. ALL YOU CAN DO IS TAKE IT IN FOR SERVICE. OR, YOU CAN KEEP TURNING IT ON AND OFF, LIKE I DO. I HAVE HAD THIS TV ON ALL NIGHT BEFORE WITH NO PROBLEMS. AS SOON AS I START CHANGING STATIONS, OUT IT GOES. GOOD LUCK. WESTINGHOUSE WILL NOT EVEN EMAIL ME. I HAVE TRIED SEVERAL TIMES TO CONTACT THEM. I HAVE HEARD FROM THE LAW FIRM IN CALIFORNIA THAT IS GOING AFTER THEM. GO ONLINE, AND JOIN THE CRUSADE.

This problem is caused from a problem with the main board. The main board will need to be replaced. It runs from $100.00 to $150.00.

Hello, it seems like your LIPS board has gone out. This board has two parts to it, one is the power side which is still working (you still have power and sound), and the second part is the inverter side. This side of the board is responsible for powering on and off the backlight. When this goes out your unit is still functional with the exception that you cannot see the screen. The repair is easy if you are at least a bit technical. You will need to contact Westinghouse at 1800-701-0680 to order the LIPS board, once you have that you will need to open the unit, the LIPS board is immediately visible, you remove the part and replace it with the new one and your TV is now functional.
