Make sure the power cord is plugged into a working outlet, and make sure the other end of the power cord is firmly seated in the power supply. also look at the side of the plug, there should be a slide switch label (112V, 240V), make sure the slide switch display 112V. (if you are in USA). otherwise 240V.

There can be two problems with your PC. either the power supply is faulty which is highly probable, and the other is that your Motherboard maybe faulty or both things are faulty. Try replacing the Power supply first. It should solve your problem.

I just had the same problem. Try replacing the battery on the motherboard, that seems to have fixed mine. The number on the battery is CR 2032.

EMachines T3828 won't turn on. Any way to determine whether problem is power supply? thx!

Had the same problem and ended up replacing the PSU. Try re-seating the memory and video card first but if your not getting any power on beep codes then it is likely that the PSU and possibly the motherboard have failed (google emachines power supply failure).
Try a new PSU, it worked for me and was a fairly cheap fix if nothing else works.
