The filter should be located in the front there should be some kind of tab to pull out the filter.

There is a filter on the bottom of the unit. You will either have to remove the bottom panel in the front. Or thereis a thin acess panel down in the front of the unit.

SOURCE: Flame sensor dirty

Sandpaper lightly scrubbed over the sensor tip to remove any contamination.

Sometimes cleaning is not enough and the sensor must be replaced.

I think the running on power up is just a test mode for a service person.

SOURCE: Carrier Weathermaker 8000 error code 32

Hi, if its blinking 3 fast and 2 slow and saying the error is the pressure switch, kill the power. Pull the hose loose from the inducer motor to the switch and blow back and forth. You can hear the single pole contact click open and close. Put it back together and try it again. If it continues, check for any leaks in the air lines first, and if not, replace the switch. You would be better off to order one over the Internet. For a temp. fix only, if the switch contacts are welded shut or open, you can bypass this safety by taking a piece of electrical wire with clips on each end, and jump across the 2 wires. Some have 3 just find the 2 that makes it work. Good luck,

The filter should slide out of a built in rack from the side of the furnace by the return inlet. It should have the size on it or you'll have to measure it. It may also be inside the bottom door. Pull the door up and out, the filter will be on one side or the other. Unless you have a special Hepa or electronic filtering system.

My A/C (Carrier weathermaker 8000 hybrid) is not cooling properly

set the t-stat low and let it run for 5 minutes , stick a thermometer in the return air closest to the unit as possible until you get a good reading , then stick the thermometer in the cold air supply again closest to the indoor unit as possible let sit until it stops going down in temp.
this is called your temp difference and it should be atleast a 14deg. F difference from in to out. if its lower you have a refrigerant problem, Let me know how it goes.

Is this an up flow system,(vents in the ceiling) or down flow, (vents in the floor?) As always, theres a place to add filters , before the fan on the suction side! No telling how long this been running without the filter and already contaminate the freshair system.. This is supposes to be checked out by the building inspector before you buy any house,Just talk it over with the Realestate Agent , have the full system cleanned and send them the bill or talk to your big brother the BBB! Thank-you-very-much!

Changing filter

The filter should be located in the return air flow duct either inside the furnace or in the ductwork
you should have it inspected by a service contractor
as far as when it should be replaced depends on the condition of the heat exchanger and overall condition of the rest of the parts it could start to nickel and dime you
