Question about LG 42LG50 42 in. LCD HDTV
Hi, just bought a LG 42LG50, to get better performance from my Sony SBP350 Blue Ray. I had a Samsung R7 and watched movies with no problem without black bars. Now i changed to the LG but everytime i watch a regular or blue ray DVD i have black bars below and above the image. HAve tried all the adjustments i could think about with no luck.
Any clue what should i do?
The TV remote may have a button stating Aspect Ratio, or similar. Usually when you keep hitting it, it may cycle through available settings like 16:9, 4:3, Wide, Zoom, etc. If not, or if the remote doesn't have this button, check the TV's onscreen display but usually the source device like the DVD player is in control of how the image fits the screen so the DVD player's onscreen display or it's remote may also have the Aspect option so check it as well. Todays TV's are alot like PC monitors and they "talk" to the device in control of the signal. Your Samsung may have worked better with the Blu Ray, or maybe it's the other way around but your new LG may not have an automatic adjustment like the Samsung may have had.
