Question about Dishwashers
I'm Harvey the Master Plumber.
Your problem is: Diswaher fills with water and then you hear a buzzing sound on the capacitor next to the motor. The motor does not turn on to spay in the dishwasher.
Sorry, it sounds like the motor's starting capacitor has failed. The unit must be removed from the cabinet to allow for easy access. With some models you can change it out, others you change both the capacitor and motor. I don't recomend this repair to the average homeowner. You might consider the Repair Directory for a repairman.

Hello & Welcome to FixYa
When the dishwasher fills then it means that the control and the water inlet valve are fine, try to hear a different sound like a hum/buzz/click sound. If it is like a hum sound from the bottom panel then it indicates that the motor is bad and needs replacement and if the hum/click comes from the control then it is the timer that is bad and needs replacement. Please get back to me if you have any other questions.

Welcome to FixYa
If it has
power but nothing is working then first check the control, if the lights are
there on the control, then try to hear if the motor is running and if it does
fill with water. If it fills with water and you hear a humm/buzz sound from the
bottom panel then it is the motor that is bad and needs replacement. If it is
completely dead then it is the main board also known as the electronic control
that is bad and needs replacement. Please get back to me if you have any other
