My dvd drive cannot read the datas.it is not working properly.

Hi,
Please try uninstalling the DVD drive you can do that from the device manager.
Then from the control panel, select 'add new hardware'. Select 'CD/DVD drives', and reinstall it.

Hope this helps?
Have a great day.

When i am inserting in cd in dvd writer it cannot read or not display any songs and movies data etc

You dvd writer need to replace with a new one because the lens of the dvd are can not read or i should i say its lens are dead. But if want to try you can buy a cd cleaner mostly on electronic or hardware shop. Try to load the cd cleaner for about 20 minutes at least to clean the lens of the dvd writer. Then try again to insert a cd music or data or movies to test if there is development. But if still the same that means you have to buy. Have a nice day!

What is the advantage of having a super multi dl drive

This drive recognizes almost all formats of CD & DVDs available in the market
The drive can read and write the following media
1. Write CD R / CDRW / Read CD , CDR, and CDRW
2. Read & Write DVD +R, DVD -R, DVD +-R, DVD RW / Dual layer DVD.

Normal drives will be specific to only DVD +R or DVD -R or single layer.

Try the DVD media in a different DVD-device.
If it reads correctly, then you need to replace your DVD-device.

Reads CD ut no not DVD's

There is no quick solution for this problem unless you consider buying a new internal drive quick solution. (They are pretty cheap now a days) It really sounds like your DVD lens is no longer working, which would cause no problems with reading of your CD's. Sorry for the bad news, but look on the bright side! You can upgrade to a lightscribe DVD burner!! :D:D (no more sharpies on the DVD/CD's you burn)
