its the lifetime getting over of the lcd display , either get it replaced or just ignore it . Nothing of repairment can be applied to it . I am an authorised repairer for Compaq at my region . Sorry that we coudnt help you sir ,
Thankyou , please vote for me .
Try connecting an external monitor to the Dell Inspiron 9300 and see if the vertical line is also present on the monitor. If the monitor display is fine, then your laptop’s LCD display panel is defective. If the monitor also displays the vertical line, then your problem is with either the video card or motherboard located inside your laptop. Not sure if the Compaq Presario has an external monitor plug, but if it does the above procedure can be applied to that one as well. I know not everyone has this ability, but if you can, go to a friend's
house and hook up an external monitor to your laptop. You may need to
use the function keys to switch from LCD to external, but if the lines
go away on the external, you have a bad LCD. If the line shows up
still on the external, then your problem is either:
a) video driver (free, easy fix) b) bad inverter (video 'outputter') ...approximately $10-50/varies + labor costs to replace c) bad video card/motherboard ...usually between $200-$400 + labor to replace
Hope this helps - please be sure to rate my answer :)
Try to connect a normal desktop monitor to the laptop (there will be one vga port where you can connect the monitor) and if you see those lines on external monitor as well then most probably video card has gone bad (you can try to reinstall video drivers in this case) if those lilnes are not there on external monitor then problem is with your LCD so if system is in warranty then get it replaced other wise get in touch with local compter shop and get it replaced.
the lcd (liquid crystal display) is damaged at this time, nor the inverter, that is of course inside of your pc, im afraid you need to send this to a repair shop
if this line is there during boot up then it is a monitor problem usually. but if it is not then it is a problem with your windows files. you could try reinstalling your windows from the disks you were given with it? otherwise i will look into it. email me if you need more help. [email protected]
thanks
matt
There can be 3 possible reasons for this 1)Screen connector cable is loose. You can try to re-seat it and see if works. 2)display card problem. Connect your laptop to an external monitor and see if the problem persists. If it does not then 3)You will need to get a replacement LCD screen. Hope this helps!
