You question is unclear. Please specify the makes and model of all devices. I typically use Rackmount Monitor Keyboard combos with integrated KVM Switches for larger server applications. I have used quiet a few units from KVMSwitchTech and they work pretty well.

Connecting hp 513735 kvm to a datacentre. Monitor to vga on kvm. Vga on cable to srvers and rj45 to kvm 8 x rj45. cannt see any servers. Menu dont display any server after pressing prntscrn. What i'm doing...

this user manual may help you have to configure the switch first with a IP address and subnet mask that will let the switch see the server.
I am not totally up with hp but it looks similar to Cisco switches in that you have to configure the switch. I am studying Cisco at the moment and this seems similar.

Remote monitor not working for the KVM HP 513735-001

HP Af616a KVM Server Console Switch 513735-001 (circa 2003) support is only at HPE.coM
just died today or bought it dead.
is the left rear LED green (power)>
see the word SERVER there, what are your servers?
KVM (keyboard video mouse) adapters are the most tricky PC devices ever invented, (cause is evolution makes them dead.) <<< bingo. (NO PC TOLD) and is a relic with PS/2 mouse ports.

most of us avoid those totally and use free remote app
called "ANYDESK"
ZERO HARDWARE NEEDED JUST NETWORK CONNECTIONS.

DID YOU READ THE MANUAL FIRST,
Some of these only work on HP servers, not PC

the manual is super hard to find now

all the old docs most useful are gone.

Elitebook 8470p not displaying to remote monitor with KVM

Is the laptop actually detecting an output when the KVM is plugged in? Try forcing output with Windows + P (Vista/7) or a function key (not sure what it is for the 8470p).

I have connected my monitor to a kvm switch but it displays nothing on screen...please help

If you are getting no video then either the KVM Switch is not transmitting video or the cable is defective. I would recommend checking with the supplier of the KVM Switch you are using.

I have a HP eo1010 kvm switch, how do I go about switching from server to server on it?

By default to bring up the On Screen Display press:

CTRL + CTRL

If you flash the firmware to the latest, you can change that key sequence for the OSD to either PrintScrn, CTRL+CTRL or SHIFT + SHIFT.
