Hi,
I am trying to set the printer up to scan to another computer (SMB) and am getting an error code 2101. Does anyone know what this code means or how to solve it?
Thank you,
Kristine
Hi Guys,
I was getting the 2101 error as well. I resolved this by placing the IP address of the computer into the "host name" field. Only thing to remember is that your IP address will change from time to time. You will need to assign a static IP to that particular machine or give it a reserved IP address through your switch. Good luck!
2101, 2102, 2201, 2202, 2203, 3101:
The network cable is disconnected or the hub that it is connected to is not operating properly. Check the cable and the hub. Otherwise, the server name or the host name of the SMTP server is not set correctly. Use COMMAND CENTER and register the SMTP server name and the host name correctly.
The link below takes you to Kyocera's Scan to SMB setup guide on GFBM's website (they are a Kyocera dealer). The guide setup guide is good and gives pictures and examples.

I hope this is helpful,

Trying to scna to email but getting same error 3101, must be a communications problem, but not sure where to start.
I have the same problem but only when scanning Microsoft Vista, error 2101. Printer and network is fine, scan folder is shared for everone, still I can not scan to folder.
