Put current web site address to my Favorites in Safari. I am looking at a website but do not know how to save the address in the program Safari

Welcome to FixYa! How to Save Web Pages in Safari: 1. Go to your desired website or webpage. 2. Click file then Save As 161805.image1.jpg 3. in the Save As text field, type a name you'll recognize for that specific website for the saved page. 4. A Where Pop-up menu will come out on the screen, this will allow you to choose where you want to save your file. 161807.image3.jpg 5. Select the Format Pop-up menu, to choose the format for the saved page. I suggest choose Web Archive, which saves the entire page and can be displayed just as you see it. 161809.image5.jpg 6. Click save to begin the download process. After you have saved the file, you can double-click on it to load it on Safari.
Thank you for using FixYa! Have a nice day!

My mac book pro now has two safari icons. one on the dock and one on the screen. i can't get rid of one of them, please help.

If you want to get rid of the Safari icon on your dock:
just click on the Safari icon and drag it away from the dock, then let go of the icon.
It should just disappear.

If you want to get rid of the Safari icon on your screen (I'm assuming on your desktop):
-open a new Finder window (Finder> New Window)
-click on the Safari icon on your desktop and drag it to the Finder window, where it says "Applications", then let go of the icon
- it should disappear from your desktop

Cannot access aol login page with safari for windows

It may depend on the version of Safari you're using. There is a beta for windows floating around out there, that's absolutely terrible. Go get the latest version and see if that doesn't solve your issue!

I'm having trouble editing a Safari screen through File-Save as.

Hi there,

The best solution to edit HTML file Adobe Dreamweaver. You can try the software by downloading trial version from www.adobe.com.

However there is a free html editor available on http://www.pagebreeze.com/

Flash CS3 Dissappears when website in Dreamweaver CS3 opens in browser

this may be happening because of some security settings. do you see a yellow bar at the top of your internet explorer window asking you to allow active x content on the page? click on allow. In dreamweaver, you can also try command > insert mark of the web so that you can preview locally

Dreamweaver Problems

Hi smedsribaka
From the look of it I don't think it is the images causing the problem. Just remember to save the images for web when you have finished in photoshop.

There could be a number of reasons why the images a miss aligning. Looking at your code you are using tables. When you place an image in a cell you need to make sure of the values of the cell and holding table as well as there is now CSS clashes.

You need to be careful of the relationship of the cells within the table. You cannot leave any cell empty. You need to put in a spacer to the dimension you want that cell t be. You need to calculate the height and width of the table and make sure the content (images) match that.

From what I can see the main issue is you have used one image for both boxes corners (each side) You should have all the corners of each box separate. Also try splitting the two elements into separate tables.

If you have the time you should try and get to grips with building the page in CSS and do away with the tables. Adobe have some great tutorials on their site.

Hope it helps

Paul

Transferring pages to a new site

If you have the FTP information for the site you should be able to log in with WSFTP or something along those lines and transfer the files you are interested in getting. If you will provide me with the website name, I may be able to get the files for you as well if you have any problems.
