same problem after changing a tire.

Tried to re-calibrate, not going thru the calibrating the process, parking brake is shown as "on", and direction is "reverse", both not responding to real situation.

Is there a simple way to re-set the whole thing?

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

D65TSG

Hi. From what I'm learning about this unit it seems that the time will stay set until you run GPS. Once you activate GPS it calibrates the unit's time to reflect China's, which I'm assuming is where the D65TSG is made. I haven't seen any solutions to this quirk.

Out of NO WHERE! it says lost gps signal and has my arrow located in the middle of nowhere. if anyone else had this problem and fixed it let me know please!

Just had this unit installed yesterday (9-28-09) and 12 hours later, "Lost GPS Signal"!! I tried the battery disconnect tick, and it worked.......for now. And it was only after this that I was able to get it to accept the Firmware Update. Might be worth a shot, at least temporarily. I would only asume that they'll be able to address this by means of SD Card update soon!

GPS shows car in washington

Wouldn't be speed sense, that only helps with lag when you loose line of site with the satellites. As soon as it links with the satellites, it should know your position. More likely a software issue with the unit, or an antenna problem.

Won't read an SD card

It sounds like either your GPS plug came out of the back of the unit, or your gps does not have a clear view of the sky, or if the gps is mounted on a trunk that opens and closes a lot the wire can break inside. I dont think the software is your issue, just to make sure if you update make sure the update file is the only file on the card, if there are other files (left over pictures, etc) they can cause the unit to disreguard the whole card.

Kenwood DNX8120 can't acquire satellite signals

Check your antenna for a kink. Honestly I have seen the gps antennas on all indashs go bad very easily. Just check that make sure your good. If not you can try resetting the unit with the little reset button on the face.
