Having a problem with Vista

I can not find my document and settings while using Vista. I need to get into my Incredimail folder and delete my attachments.

In regards to Vista it does not use Document and Settings like 2000 and XP. Vista uses Users. Go to that folder and you should be able to find your personal files.

how much space do you have? you should only delete things like pictures, documents or from the downloaded folder you no longer want otherwise uninstall programs you no longer need DoNOT delete them

How to fix error 48 in itunes


The message does not indicate that there is an issue with the iPod but that that iTunes was unable to read the iPod software update it uses to restore or update your iPod. You can delete the folder containing the iPod software update files so iTunes can download a new copy of the iPod software update.

Here are the steps to take if you get this message:

Eject iPod and quit iTunes.
Use Disk Utility in Mac OS X or run chkdsk in

Windows to verify there are no other issues on your hard drive.
Locate the iPod Software Updates folder:

In Mac OS X, the folder is
/Users/username/Library/iTunes/iPod Software Updates

In Windows Vista, the folder is
C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\iTunes\iPod Software Updates

In Windows XP and Windows 2000, the folder is
C:\Documents and Settings\yourusername\Application Data\Apple Computer\iTunes\iPod Software Updates

Note: If you don't see the files in Windows, turn on the Show hidden files option.
Windows Vista: Open Computer and choose Folder and Search Options from the Organize menu.
Windows XP and 2000: Open My Computer and click Folder Options from the Tools menu.
Click the View tab.
In the Advanced Settings pane, select the "Show hidden files and folders" button.
Click OK.
Drag the iPod Software Updates folder to the Trash or Recycle Bin.
Connect iPod and open iTunes. You will need to be connected to the Internet to download the files.

    Scan your computer first with your updated antivirus. Delete all your temporary files. To do this, click My Computer icon, click your Local Disk(C:), Documents and Settings, your document folder, Local Settings, Temp Folder.
    Note: After clicking your document folder, if Local Settings is hidden, click Tools on its sub menu, click Folder Options a box will appear, Click View Tab and choose the option Show Hidden Files and Folder. Click OK.

*Delete all your temporary files from the Temp Folder. Reboot your computer.

Try to reinstall your Adobe 9. Make sure you are downloading your adobe 9 from a trusted site for a clean download and installation. Thank you.

I am trying to get my e-mails from Incredimail switched over to Outlook 2007? can you help me?


As I understand from other sources online, Incredimail and Outlook use the same file formats. There is a export option in the menu of Incredimail, use that tool to export mail and contacts to Outlook. Once exported, take that file and use the import tool in Outlook (point it to the new export folder Incredimail just created) to import the mail and whatever else you decide to import.
Hint: The 'import' and 'export' tools are usually under the 'File' menu or 'Tools' menu.

Cannot delete certain folders on vista


Hi Peter, Some folders are part of Windows and you can't delete them, but you can delete the contents in them to make space on your hard drive. For example you can't delete My Documents, My Music, My Videos, etc. Good Luck.

Delete folder


Hi muraripcs,
 
Logon as Administrator and delete the protected folder.
 
You logon as Administrator like this:
Open the command prompt with Administrative privileges by opening the Start Menu, and typing cmd in the search box, and then press Ctrl+Shift+Enter
Type the following in the command prompt:
net user administrator /active:yes
Press Enter
Restart your computer and logon as Administrator.
Note: You might want to set a password for the administrator’s account for at least a little protection.
Warning: Running as Administrator in Windows Vista bypasses all security and is NOT recommended. 
If you decide to use the Administrator account don’t complain when you start having problems :-).
