Blue screen with buzzing?

There is no way the motherboard was changed, the only thing I can suggest you try, sub out the ram memory one at a time, no change! pull out the hard drive and reseat it back in place that may fix the problem. If none of these work contact asus and tell them you are not happy with the repair and you want it fixed right.

I believe a got virus. My computer began giving me the bluescreen constantly, so I managed to quarantine many viruses. The bluescreen problem continued to occur, but not as frequently. Now, just after...

Your windows may be corrupted, or having problem with hard disk, both you can fix by formatting it, before that try this, ..press F8 button when system booting up till getting "safe mode" option on the screen, start windows in safe mode, if it works disable all start-up programs, (Start>Run>type msconfig press enter then select start-up ) disable all except necessary, please check the picture below

I get a bluescreen on startup that says a problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to my computer.PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA

Most blue screens are due to a memory failure...try to remove the memory cards and just replace one at a time to see if you have a bad module or slot.

Bluescreen problem is associated with Hard disk drive failure or RAM-Random Access Memory. Try and change those two components and try again.

Aspire 5100

Has memory been added to this laptop recently or any changes been made?

the irq error/bluescreen is mainly due hardware issue and most of the time in my experience, memory.

Re-seat your Ram, go into the bios and reset all back to factory defaults. Unplug all devices, as well.

G'luck
