Question about MGE Galaxy 3000 UPS System

Open Question

Fault diagnoses my ups system goes off by itself, it goes off over and over again when even I restart to work for some time. I have my checked circuit breaker and it was functioning good. May I know what the problem is and the solution to it.

SOURCE: ups problem

The batteries need to be replaced. They probably have more than 3 years.
Replace the batteries and let the new ones charge fully for a day and your UPS will work like new after that.

My cars panic alarm goes off by itself.

possible -but all these fancy electronics are beyond the realms of most people and you need the factory to reset and diagnose the fault .even us mechanics have to admit defeat with faults like this and return vehicle to the dealer then charge for the time involved in taking and collecting the car ,take it straight to the dealer yourself

My 2006 Buick lacrosse reduce power light came on today--what does that mean

Reduced Engine Power
Refer to Throttle Actuator Control (TAC) System Description in Engine Controls - 3.6L or Throttle Actuator Control (TAC) System Description in Engine Controls - 3.8L
TAC System Default Actions/Reduce Power Modes
There are 2 reduce power modes that the engine control module (ECM) can default to if an error is detected in the throttle actuator control (TAC) system. If an accelerator pedal position (APP) sensor 1 or APP sensor 2 circuit fault, throttle position (TP) sensor 2 circuit fault, or if a TP sensor 1 circuit fault is detected with some APP angle, the ECM goes into one of the 2 reduce power modes. In this mode, the engine torque is limited so that the vehicle cannot reach speeds of more than 100 km/h (60 mph). The ECM remains in this reduce power mode during the entire ignition cycle even if the fault is corrected.
If there is a condition with the throttle actuator control circuits, throttle actuator command vs actual position fault, return spring check fault, or a TP sensor 1 circuit fault, the ECM goes into the other reduce engine power mode. In this mode, the engine speed is limited to 2,500 RPM and the 3-6 fuel injectors are randomly turned OFF. At this time the Reduced Power indicator is commanded ON. The ECM remains in the reduce power mode during the entire ignition cycle even if the fault is corrected. Observe, if a TP sensor 1 or throttle actuator control circuit fault is present at the time the vehicle is at idle, with no accelerator pedal angle, the engine may stall.

Video turn off and audio works fine

There could be several things going on. I would seriously recommend you get a diagnoses on the set. But the first thing I would do is when the video goes away, dim the lights in the room and shine a bright light on the panel. If you see a faint image on the screen, you have a back light circuit fault. If you see nothing while shining the light on the panel, you have a fault in your video circuit which could be due to overheating on main board or t-con. Again with so many possibilities at hand, I would get a professional diagnoses.

Car runs fine then power loss till switch of engine then ok again

You MUST have the electronic engine control module scanned for fault codes to even begin to diagnose the cause of this.

My protection light is on and the amp goes in and out. how can i fix this problem?

Either there is a malfunction on the amplifier , or more likely there is a short on the speakers cabling. If the cables are shorted, or broken, not allowing a sufficient load, the amplifier will protect itself by tripping a fuse. After a while, or on restart, the fuse will rearm itself, only to be tripped again by the malfunction.

P0463 and P0499 both codes refer to half circuit high. I keep hearing about good trip equal to zero? have no clue what that means.

Code P0463 refers to the fuel gauge sending unit circuit and P0499 refers to the Canister Purge Solenoid circuit - two totally different circuits.

The reference to "good trip equal to zero" requires the use of a scanner that is capable of reading the data stream from the various Circuits. Many inexpensive scanners are really only "code readers" and will output only the fault codes. They cannot provide you with much of the information required to properly diagnose and repair the problem.

The way a circuit is diagnosed changes completely if the problem is an intermittant problem and is not occuring at the time the circuit is being tested. The data stream will give the fault code and tell you how many trips the vehicle has made without the failure reoccuring. For example, if the circuit failed three trips ago and worked on the next three trips, the good trip count will be "3". If the good trip count is "0" this means that the circuit is failing right now. The troubleshooting charts will send you to different steps depending on whether the fault is current or whether it is an intermittant fault.

There is a lot of misconception in the general public about what fault codes actually do. A lot of people think that you simply plug in the "Magic Box" and it tells you exactly what is wrong with the car and what parts to replace. If anyone finds one of those please let me know...I WANT ONE!!!
What fault codes actually do is give an indication that one of the circuits or systems that are monitored by the computer is malfunctioning. They NEVER tell you what parts to replace. It is up to the person making the repairs to diagnose the malfunctioning circuit or system to determine if any "parts" are actually even needed. Many codes can be fixed by making a simple wiring repair (like cleaning a connector) without replacing any parts.

Tv shut off and will not restart flashing green timer light tried system restart also unpluged and restarted checked the cable singnal changed the bulb

projection TV`s have integrated protection circuits
built into the circuit design, these circuits turn the
power off automatically when a fault has bin detected indication of this is a flashing light on the front panel
this is in order to prevent a more costly repair, these circuits monitor
power supply , vertical and horizontal deflection
over voltage, or x ray, and also faults with convergence circuits.
Diagnosing these faults require test equipment and a good knowledge of
electronic repair techniques, and also a repair manual.

When you boot the machine, use the proper key to enter the BIOS and check the date and time. If it is wrong then the BIOS battery is bad. Replace it.

Amp comes on and goes right into protection mode

Turn the reciever on for a second or two and then off before the protect mode shows up on the monitor. Repeat this step about five times and check to see if the reciever does not go into protect mode. If it does go into protect mode try it again. Dont know if this is the proper way to fix the reciever but it worked for me. Good Luck
