Question about Wacom Cintiq 12WX Interactive Pen Display Monitor

Open Question

Wacom Cintiq 12 WX - Tablet won't respond to pen movements - A supported tablet was not found - Unknown device

I have a wacom cintiq 12 wx.

It worked fine for a couple of months, and then the pen stopped to work.
The tablet won't respond to pen movements, not even the custom buttons won't work.
I tested different usb ports, the latest drivers, I even reinstalled the XP machine and the mac just to try to see if it worked afterwards.
The new problem that i faced was that, after have installed the latest drivers, i'll get the message " A supported tablet was not found" as soon as i'm trying to get into the wacom properties.

I have tested with a new usb cable and still the same problem.
I have tested on mac os x, xp and vista machines and still have the same problem.

The funny thing is that on xp and vista the computer recognize the tablet as an "Unknown device".

I hope with this information, somebody here could help me with this problem.

Thank you.

I have the same issue. My tablet worked fine... then poof it won't respond at all. This has happened both with my old graphire and my new intuos. It lights up to show there is power, but thats it.

Exactly the same problem, except this happened the second time I used my brand new cintiq! >:(
It had been packed away *perfectly* in the box between times, and since it had this issue I've tried reinstalling the drivers and tested it on other computers, but I can't get any response from it at all!!

SOURCE: I've had this same issue! My Wacom Cintiq 12WX

Hi 13ambreuer

"Signal out of Range"
is a problem between the graphics card, monitor, motherboard or graphics card port.
if you have to do troubleshooting on the monitor and display card, proved no problem to it. This means that the problem now is the motherboard and graphics card port.
(But should remember, problems ram, power supply and processor also causes the same error) * Sometimes *)
mean here you have to do the troubleshooting on all hardware on your computer

Hi , unfortunately that's an issue with toon boom Harmony , not a cintiq 's . there is no solution for it unless they provide an update for harmony or something. if you notice even the distance from the cross hair cursor and the brush stork still off set .

Wacom cintiq 12wx calibration

I had a similar issue using the 12wx with a 15" MacbookPro Retina. Screen displayed the desktop way too much to the left. I found that the refresh rate of 59.8 hertz seemed to not be compatible despite it automatically being set. After changing this to 74.9 Hertz, the desktop is now properly centered on the Wacom screen and can be calibrated now. Not sure if this applies to Windows machines but perhaps something to keep in mind.

Silver Cirlces when pen touches tablet

The solution is simple to your silver circle happening every time you click the screen. Go to Start>Control Panel and double click Pen and Input Devices. Click on the second tab in the Pen and Input Devices (Pointer Options) and uncheck all four of those top boxes. Voila! No more silver circles when you click!

If your tablet is acting buggy, try installing the latest driver from the Wacom.com website.

Cintiq 12wx

I had a similar problem with my cintiq 12WX - i have managed to sort this problem.
The way i did it was by going into CONTROL PANEL (please note i am using XP windows), then into DISPLAY, then into the last tab on the right aka SETTINGS. Once in SETTINGS go into the ADVANCED section, then click on the DISPLAY tab. In here you should have 3 things - monitor, panel and tv. The tv bit is irrelevant. Look at the MONITOR and PANEL tabs, if your wacom IS set up correctly when you click on the button (it is a circle with a line inside it) on the title (it will either be greeny/turquoise or red). If it is red, click it and the same button on the panel title will turn green aswell. Below the pictures of a computer and a laptop there should be 2 buttons that are the same for each. Currently, my almost working cintiq is set to having the button with two squares on it under the heading of 'MONITOR' and the button with a circle is on under the section entitled PANEL.
If this doesn't work I dont know what to suggest.
Hope this helps.
M
(p.s. you may have to improvise with the settings in the display bit to get it to work).
