Question about GE Refrigerators
The refrigerator is only two years old and having problems. Tried to change the temperature control is factory setting of 37 degrees fringe and zero degrees freeze. Will not reset the temperature. The current temperature is 44 degree fringe and 18 degree freezer. Did everything as stated in the manual and the temperature stays the same. On top of all that the icemaker is not working. The water dispenser is working properly. There is no frost or any noticeable obstruction to the ice maker. Changed the filter also.

Sounds like the unit needs a reset of sorts, Get your food into another refrigerator or ice chests and unplug the unit. let it stand open for several hours (just in case the vents are iced) and then plug it back in.

i have seen this problem before
its the control board in the back the board is about 150 dollars
and it goes every DING DING 5 years lol
horrible design of the one that comes on the fridge every ge side by side has this problem
its very easy to replace but have to "ground" yourself before you touch the new control board meaning rub you hands on plumbing pipes, not pvc or copper
good luck if you got questoins let me know
