SOURCE: Have JDS26 drop in range.

F3 error code is for the oven tempreture sensor you would have to perform an ohms test on the sensor and it should read between 1000-1100 ohms any less and you would replace the oven tempreture sensor.

F4 is the same as F3 states to check for a melted connector as well or both leads shorted to the ground

F5 is also from the oven tempreture sensor as well so I would tend to think that the oven tempreture sensor in your unit needs to be replaced if you have any further questions message me back and please remember when our chat has fully concluded to rank how this opinion has helped it allows me to continue helping others in similar situations in the future. Thanks again for using Fixya I await if you have any further reply

SOURCE: fan in oven will not shut off, F-4

Hi jsachse,

The F4 fault code description is a shorted or open oven temperature sensor (RTD). Please check the sensor harness and harness connection between oven sensor and oven control. Replace oven temperature sensor (RTD) if wiring is ok.

Hope it helps.

Thank you for using FixYa.

I need a oven bulb lens for my Kitchenaid Superba. I think my model is 9752834A. I need two of them. The one is have has B-1 on it.

Unfortunately, 9752834A is not a model number for the KitchenAid Superba. Usually the model number will have 4-5 letters, 3 numbers, 2-3 more letters and then a final number. Look inside the oven door for a plaque with the model number. With the correct model information, you can see if the lens cover is available.

Next, Kitchenaid ovens either have a rectangular (for models that use halogen bulbs) or circular (for models that use an incandescent bulb) lens cover. I've found three lens covers for Kitchenaid products at RepairClinic.com: http://www.repairclinic.com/Shop-For-Parts/a13b121c48/Kitchenaid-Range-Stove-Oven-Lighting-Light-Bulb-Parts . Check if http://www.repairclinic.com/PartDetail/b121p13/Kitchenaid-Range-Stove-Oven-Light-Lens/9781049/748782?ss=a13b121c48&mr=0, http://www.repairclinic.com/PartDetail/b121p13/Kitchenaid-Range-Stove-Oven-Light-Lens/4452163/589998?ss=a13b121c48&mr=0 or http://www.repairclinic.com/PartDetail/b121p13/Kitchenaid-Range-Stove-Oven-Light-Lens/4375318/584498?ss=a13b121c48&mr=0 look like your model. RepairClinic.com does not have the model numbers. However, Appliance Parts Pros list most of the same parts and has a model number compatibility checker, http://www.appliancepartspros.com .

I hope this helps.

Oven flashing F and E1 codes when i turn oven on it ays to turn oven off and flashes F1 nd E1 codes

If this is a Kitchenaid, Roper or Whirlpool range, this error indicates an EEPROM error in the control board. Ifthe F1 E1 trouble code continues after you've disconnected the power for over 30 seconds, you need to replace the electronic control board (clock). You can often find parts online with the model number of the unit. (Try partselect.com or searspartsdirect.com (if Sears sold the model).)

I hope this helps.

Range displays code of F4 and stops working

F4 Oven temperature sensor (RTD) shorted Replace Oven temperature sensor (RTD)

The F2, F3 and F4 codes refer to problems with the oven temperature sensor or the keypad. If you see the two-digit F2 code, it means your keypad has shorted and the ERC must be replaced. The four-digit F2-E0 code means that the oven temperature is too high. Test the door lock and the relay operation, and correct as necessary. A two-digit F3 code means an open temperature sensor or thermal fuse, so those parts must be replaced. A four-digit F3-E0, F3-E1, F3-E2 or F3-E3 code or a two-digit F4 code means that either the oven is registering as too hot or the temperature sensor has shorted. Either way, the oven temperature sensor must be replaced.
Hope helps.
