Question about Canon PowerShot A85 Digital Camera
I own a cannon power shot A 85 camera. there is some problem with display. repair guy tells me its CCD problem since cannon has used inferior quality CCDs is certain models. ur web site gives its solution only for USA and porta rico. strange.... what about people living in other parts of the world eg like me in Pakistan.. I purchased this camera from Newyork on my last visit in 2006 so in which category do i fall. please advice action otherwise i will never buy any cannon product and neither advice others. thanx
Same thing happened to mine. Canon will replace the CCD for free. Here's the link to their website.
Evidently several companies got a bad batch of CCDs. Originally the A85 wasn't included in the repair, but now it is. Call their 800 number to arrange repair. Good luck!

Canon has never used inferior CCD's in any of their Powershot cameras. Write a letter to:
Canon Middle East FZ-LLLC
Regional Sales Organisation
Dubai Internet City
P.O. Box: 500 007
