Connecting camcorder to pc to download video

I taped my daughters wedding on my proscan dsp3 32x digital zoom camcorder and would like to burn it to a cd. I am running a dell windows vista home premium. Is this possible to do? I have tried using the windows movie maker but I do not understand all of the details. Thank you inadvance for all of your help
