On my MP3 player the start up screen Every moment has its music appears but does not advance. How do I reset so it will advance and play my music?

http://www.retrevo.com/support/Sony-NWZ-S545-MP3-Players-manual/id/23542dj091/t/2/

Possible solution #1: power on the unit and press and hold the reset button for 5 seconds. Then, power off the unit for about 5-10 minutes. Power it on, try the music transfer again and see if you can play it.
Possible solution #2: head to the NWZ-S545 product page and update the unit's firmware. When that is done, reset it and then try to transfer and listen to your music.
If these techniques fail, then I would probably just take it back to where I bought it from and exchange it for a new one. If you are beyond the retail return period, but within your product warranty, call Sony technical support and have them arrange for a warranty replacement.

My psp still shows everything is getting power, but my screen wont come on

  1. Remove the battery from the left side of the PSP while it is still on. The unit will power down instantly. Wait 10 seconds and then replace the battery.
  2. Press both clear shoulder buttons at the top of the PSP and keep them held down while the PSP reboots. This initiates a "Recovery" mode.
  3. Press down on the control pad to locate a "recovery" folder. This will contain all of your PSP content, including games, music, videos and podcasts that are saved on the device. Highlight this folder and press the "X" button to begin reinstalling your content.
Hope this helps, give me a good thumbs up please!

Protection Light Comes on

Sounds like you have an ohm problem, Tryy hooking the positive from one speaker to the negative on the other speaker. Then hook the negative from the first speaker to the negative on your amp and the positive from the second to the positive on the amp this will drop your ohm load and the amp should stop going into protection.

Problem with turning my system on....

whan a unit goes into protect, it could be a bad speaker, shorted speaker wires. or the most common fault is a blown audio o/p ic in the unit. due to being compact units they are more difficult to work on than the full size unit. the part typically runs between $25.00 to $75.00 usd. if you are good with working on small places and are good with soldering give it a try. the ic will be on a heatsink. good luck.

Power protect tends to mean the main power amp chip has "blown" and needs to be replaced. It only costs about 20 dollars (10GBP). If you are handy with a soldering iron it is easy to do (after you get the thing to bits !) It is the big black thing on the big heatsink inside. The Sony part number is STK442 - 130. Seems a waste to throw the whole thing away for the sake of 10 pounds !. Hope this helps. Nik Howell (nh@totalise.co.uk)
