    During phone calls I cannot hear the person I am speaking to but they can hear me.

    I can only use my Samsung SCH-U740 cellular phone on speaker because when I use the handset the person I'm call can hear me but I can not hear them.

    no one can hear me. if i turn speaker on they can, but else cannot!

hi, your phone has a speaker...whenever you talk it is this speaker that allows the other person at the other end will hear what you are saying...so when this speaker is faulty, you will not be able to communicate with the other person...all you need do is to change the speaker referred to MOUTH PIECE.

Cant hear incoming voices unless i put it on speaker. Can hear rings and all phone bells and whistles though. just not earpiece volume for incoming calls unless on speaker
this sounds like a broken earpiece speaker you might be able to find a replacement one on-line and replace it or if its still under warranty send it back in and get it replaced

When the phone rings and I answer it I can't hear
That means the speaker for the ear is damaged and needs to be/replaced/repaired. Most devices come with a one year manufacturer's warranty. If unsure about the purchase date check with your carrier.

Cannot hear incoming or outgoing callls
1- Probably the problem is with the speaker = change the in-built speaker
OR
2- The problem is with the earphone jack. = Check if a headphone sign is there on the screen. If yes... then connect & remove headphone/ear-set jack into your mobile few times till the headphone sign is gone from the mobile screen.
