My printer does not print anymore...

....while it has enough paper in the tray...it keep saying out of paper....and it sounds like it keeps rolling and rolling without any result.

I have the same problem. I can feed the paper in manually by pushing it it ever so slightly when the roller tries to grab it and it usually works but I have to do it for every page and it's a HUGE pain in the ***. The roller is grabbing the paper and I can't figure out how to open the printer to clean the roller. Anyone know how to do this?

I'm not even sure this is the problem. Maybe the device isn't clamping on the paper hard enough or something.

    Can anyone help?

Hi Ika1s, try updating your printer drivers:

Create a new folder on your desktop and name it newhpdrivers(substitute your manufacturer in new name). Un-intall printer and printer software completely. Go to manufacturers website and navigate to their drivers/downloads or support menu. Select your model, choose the relevant software and download to the new folder you created on your desktop. Power down your computer. Reconnect the printer to the computer and turn printer on. Power on pc. Windows will detect new hardware and ask if you have the manufacturers install cd or a location to check for install files. Direct the wizard to your new software, follow the rest of the setup instructions and your done

Paper want go in to print

The reason why it keeps saying this is cuz you paper feed tire needs replacing. Now i am not sure based on the cost of this unit if it would be worth to have this repaired but, this is what is causing this error.

My printer c5280 keeps saying please reinsert or lower photo tray

If it is asking for photo paper you should be able to hit ok on the screen and then it should go to the default screen and be ready to print.

Be sure the paper tray is full.  Though not a satisfactory solution, I've found the little steel tab that lifts the paper up to be grabbed by the roller just doesn't lift it far enough.  I keep the paper tray full.  Now I only have the problem if I let the tray get down to only one or two sheets.

Paper too thick?

You will need to use the manual feed and insert the cardstock one page at a time. First look at the rear of the printer for a purple dial. Roll the dial downward. This will allow the printer to exit straight out the back of the machine. Allow enough room at the rear of the printer so the cardstock doesn't hit anything on the way out. Next look at the front of the machine at the **** just above the paper tray. You'll see an envelope icon. Align the cardstock when manual feeding one sheet at a time to the left side of the **** next to the envelope icon. When you hit "file, print" select MANUAL FEED in the print window.

The 4L will only do cardstock by one at a time in the way noted above as the feed system isn't strong enough to make the sharp bend coming out of the tray or in the back to bend it around and into the top tray.

Paper jam

take out all the paper from the loading tray, and press down on the inside of the tray 4 or 5 times, and put a sheet back in. There seems to be a physical irregularity with all 2300DL printers that causes this problem

Printer Won't Take Paper

I beleive that machine has two slots to put paper, try moving the tray to the other slot, for some reason it may have defaulted to that tray.
