Question about Motorola Mobility H500 Wireless Headset

1 Answer

Headset dials last phone # I talked to when i turn it off.

When I turn off my Motorola H500 Headset, it dials the last phone number which I have talked to. I live in North Carolina, yesterday it dial a number in Ohio. Is anyone else out there having the same problem?

I have the same problem with a Motorola K1m "krzr" mated to a H500. When someone calls, it REFUSES to answer when I hit the button, and it just keeps playing the "incoming call" jingle. The talk button on my phone is disabled until I turn the H500 off. When turning it off, it decides to call my friends for me, just like yours.

Also, it turns itself on sometimes for no reason, and it makes calls automatically then, too. It's really helping me to improve my social life, because I've been talking to everyone I know, whether I want to call them or not.

I have a new droid by motorola and an old h500 bluetooth headset. It still pairs beautifully with my old blackberry, but won't pair with the droid. HMMM? Any tricks? What am i doing wrong?

You need to put your H500 into "pairing mode" by pressing the call button until the light turns steady blue, instead of blinking. Your droid will then see it when you are in the Bluetooth Settings screen under Networks & Wireless. I just did this myself last night and it worked fine. Be forewarned, however, that you cannot voice-dial with your bluetooth - only answer calls. There are several forums out there that are bashing Motorola & Google for not having this basic functionality.

I need help pairing my motorola h500 to motorola i580 phone

  1. Make sure your phone's bluetooth is on.
  2. Go to MENU > SETTINGS > CONNECTION > BLUETOOTH LINK > SETUP.
  3. Scroll to power then press change.
  4. Scroll to ON the press select to turn on the bluetooth feature. Bluetooth feature remains ON until it is turned off.
  5. With the headset power off, press and hold the CALL button for 6-10 seconds until the blue light indicator turns on and remains steadily lit. If it does not stay lit, turn off the headset. To turn it off, press and hold CALL button until blue light stops.
  6. While holding the CALL button on the headset, on your phone select MENU > SETTINGS > CONNECTION > BLUETOOTH LINK > HANDS-FREE > LOOK FOR DEVICES. The phone lists all bluetooth devices it finds.
  7. Select Motorola H500.
  8. Press OK or YES to pair the headset with your phone.
  9. Enter the passkey 0000.
  10. Press OK.

Other person cannot hear me talk if they are talking

This is a common problem with speaker phones as well since they (as is your headset) forced to switch back and forth so microphone and 'speaker' are not on at the same time to prevent feedback. The squeal from feedback would be far more irritating. Your previous phone in conjunction with your headset were simply (and accidentally) a better combination.

HELP

You can't program numbers vocally to you headset, you can only program vocally to your phone only if your phone has the voice dialing option. I have a H500 and can inform you of what I know. To turn on, hold button until blue light flashes once or twice, to turn off is the same thing. To pair your headset with your phone you have to hold down the call button until the light stays on then you use your phone to pair. After pairing the headset will flash quickly then discontinue. If you are using your headset and receive another call, you press the call button on the phone to answer the other line and to also release the call. The volume up and down buttons are found on the top and bottom of the headset, up and down is dependant on which ear you wear your headset. To mute, hold both the volume up and down buttons at the same time, this also unmutes the call. Hope this helps!

H500 bluetooth headset

Turn down the volume on the PHONE, not the headset. Motorola 325i w/ H500. Again, turn down the volume on the PHONE, not the headset. In my case almost all the way down.
