The color of my print is very pink and yellow with no blue

If your printer has 3 colored ink cartridges, your cyan (blue) cartridge is empty. Replace it with a new one. If your printer has just one colored ink cartridge, the blue section of it is empty. Replace the cartridge with a new one. You'll find the correct cartridge (normally a number) in the owners manual and/or on the cartridge itself. See the owners manual for instructions on where the cartridges are located and how to replace them.

The yellow cartridge doesn't print

Either the print head is blocked or the cartridge is empty, you can try the clean accessory in the printer toolbox/maintenance, if that fails, replace the cartridge.

Printer keeps telling me that the yellow cart is empty and I have put a new one in

Are you positive it says the yellow cart is empty? Because that brother printer is designed to say that a cartridge is empty whenever ANY of the color cartridges are empty. Usually it doesn't tell you which one is really empty either. So even if you replaced the yellow cartridge and say, the black cartridge is empty, it still won't let you print until you replace that empty black cartridge, nor will you know which of the cartridges is empty unless you pull them out of the printer and manually check the ink levels.

Its pretty much a guessing game with those old brother ink printers.

Hope this helps :)

My printer keeps saying the yellow tank is empty even when I've replaced them with new ones. will not let me print, copy. this is a HP C5100

Ok, I assume this is a message being display on the printer not the PC, if thats the case then it's best to take it to your local printer repair center or if the printer is in warranty get it replaced as this seems like a hardware/software fault within the printer. Again assuming its saying the message on the printer. And also its worth checking again that the yellow cartridge is actually going in correctly and that you have removed any labels from the cartridge that need to be removed easy to miss! As this could block the ink. Anything else I need to know let me know.

Yellow ink showed empty. Replaced cartridge with three separate cartridges from three separate stores. It still shows empty and won't print.

I can imagine the frustration but I want you to try this procedure:-

Ink may be new, but their nuzzles may be blocked; depending on manner of storage. To be sure apply a folded tissue paper to the ink nuzzle and press firmly. If the tissue comes off well blotted with yellow ink it means you still have a good amount of yellow ink in it and the nuzzle is not blocked. If not blotted or scantily blotted, it means yellow ink is really low or nuzzle is blocked. To be very sure of this, place nuzzle in a plate/saucer with a bit water so that the nuzzle is soaked. Leave for about 10 minutes. Then apply the tissue again. If still not well blotted it means ink is really low or empty. If new you should return it for a replacement. In the case of blocked nuzzles, the procedure may be repeated over to get results.

New yellow cartridge installed. Printer still says it is empty. Tried two new ones so far. Have followed HP instructions to clean cartridge and contacts.

I have exactly the same problem with my HP C6180 - I have now replaced the Yellow cartridge for the second time, assuming that maybe the first replacement was faulty, but I just bought a new multipack and can't afford to keep on trying a new cartridge in the vain hope that it will eventually work.
There has to be a fault with the printer, but of course it is now well out of warranty.......I previously regarded HP as a company that produced quality products, but this image is in danger of being severely tarnished, added on to of my daughters PSC2355 dying last week.

Ink Cartridge Error

on your cartridges there is a chip that detects if the ink is low. The chip on your yellow cartridge is bad. You should return the cartridge for a new one(if you still have your receipt) or visit a Cartridge World in your area and they can put a new chip on for you
