Can't get past 'SAFE' on Phillips radio

Hi,

Phillips radio went to SAFE mode after the battery went flat. I have the code but can't get past the 'SAFE' mode. I had tried to enter the code twice before but I though I had 10 attempts left. Now even when I hold the AS button down it still stays in SAFE mode. Any advice? Thanks

Usually you need a dealer to unlock the NEW ones after entering 3 wrong codes but...

My vw golf tenacity battery went flat replace now my radio is blocked on safe mode and showes two

When you disconnect your battery and then reconnect it again, it disables the radio. This is an anti-theft protection for your car radio.
The enable your radio the activation code is in your vehicle owner's manual. If you do not have this code you need to go to your VW service centre and get them to enter this code for you.

How do i get past safe to input code on a cdr500

Hi,
With the ignition ON and Radio OFF - press and hold the AS button and switch the radio on at the same time whilst holding the AS button in.
SAFE will disappear and CODE - - - - will show on the display. Enter code and radio will operate - you may have to press and hold AS again to enter the code once last digit is entered (depends on radio).

You need the ignition on and radio off before you press and hold the AS button and switch the radio on while still holding the AS button until you hear a beep

Phillips ccr600 radio code is missing

First make sure that the code has not been noted somewhere within the car (underneath the ash tray, glove box , rear of sun visor etc)

To see if your code is available here  for free then the radio will have to be removed from the dashboard (and if you are lucky, someone may have written the code on the casing ) .

If not then POST A NEW  QUESTION

quoting the radio MAKE+MODEL plus ALL the LETTERS+NUMBERS on ANY LABELS ,BARCODES or STAMPED IN THE METAL CASING

note: Unfortunately not all radios can be decoded using the Serial Number

Otherwise try your Main Dealer ...........or take it into a Decode Service who will plug in a laptop to read/recode the memory chip (EEPROM). This takes a few minutes and shouldn`t be too expensive

Hi there! I have an audi 2000 F/L, the radio wants a code

Radio's that have a "safe mode" go into that mode when power has been removed. The vehicles battery may have been disconnected during service for a period of time for this to happen. This is a theft prevention feature that the radio has so if someone rips it out of your car it wont work again without the code. If you have an aftermarket radio, try to find the manual for the radio maybe the code is in there and instructions on how to unlock it from safe mode. But if it is the Audi stock radio try to find the Audi owners manual.

Good luck
