Just got to acer sites and goto support section enter your model number ... and you can see all drivers for you lap ... download the latest drivers for you sound .. after download .. just clik setup .. and all will be done by the package .. and restart the system .. everything will be fine ..

nope, PCI Flash memory doesn't have anything to do with your mic issue. This may just be a configuration issue. Go to control panel -- sounds and audio devices. Go to Voice Recording under Voice tab. It should not be grayed out. Click Test hardware and follow the instructions. This should help you resolve the problem. If all else fail, reinstall the audio driver.
Hi, In all likelyhood, the audio driver is not installed. Check your drivers by going to your device manager and look for devices which have a yellow dot next to them. You will find device manager by right clicking "my computer" and choosing "properties". If you find a yellow dot next to your audio card, go to the Acer web site at: www.acer.com and select your product from the drop down lists. Regards, Graemevm
