Question about Kodak EasyShare Z1015 IS Digital Camera

3 Answers

Kodak Z1015 Brand new Kodak Z1015 camera. I take three shots and a message appears on the screen saying "PROCESSING". At this time the camera is inoperable. 40 seconds later the message goes and I can take another three or four shots, then same all over again. Kodak as much use as an ashtray on a motorbike. They say I must take a download from the Easyshare software, but that won't work. Any suggestions? Cheers, Dave Watts.

I have the same problem - still working on fixing it. My current memory card is 4GB - what should I have to get rid of this problem?

    Dave

This sometimes means the camera is writing huge amounts of data in a large file format, eg raw data. I would check the settings, make sure its not set to save as raw data until you get used to the camera. Best to choose a medium resolution setting and save as a jpg. Secondly, unless you are using the internal memory card at this stage, try a different card.

    Best wishes...

Hi!
I think you should (1) go in for memory card with large capacity and (2) make sure that card is left with good amount of memory all the time(empty it out frquently). This should solve yr problem.

    Hi!

Another thing. The camera gives perfect touch to 2-3 snaps after these are taken. So disable this feature and it should be OK

    Cheers.

Hello, Is the battery in the camera or in the charger ?? Don't quite understand the question. You wrote "received correct wall charger AC/DC ?" was that a question concerning the new charger ? it sounds like your not quite sure about the charger.

Hello, It would be almost impossible to have several batteries that were all bad !!! sounds like a serious problem with the camera and not the batteries.

Almost every shot that has straight lines is broken up ie roof eaves, parking lot lines, tops of fences/block walls, wooden decks is it my camera, me, or camera setting? camera is the kodak z1015 is ...

Do the pictures that were previously taken look good(before the problem appeared)? If yes then it is most likely to be an image sensor problem. IF all the pictures look alike then it is an LCD screen related problem instead.

LCD screen won't come on when camera is on. Does this mean the backlight needs to be repaired. Brand new camera!

Does the electronic view finder (EVF) work? Of course you tried toggling the EVF off so the screen would come on right???

I have a Z1015 IS kodak camera and inserted a 128 MB memory card in it. I shot 25 pictures when it told me the card was full. Yet I used the card on a kodak 135 camera and it took over 200 pictures. Am I...

Sounds like you have the picture quality on the Z camera set to a higher setting than on the 135. Higher Quality photos are much larger and will fill up a small 128MB card very quickly. Get a 2GB card.

Put brand new batteries in camera took three pic then they die

Hi, you will only solve this by buying the official KODAK battery (KLIC-8000) - NZD52.00 retail here in New Zealand. Even the generic CR3V rechargeable batteries dont work, so dont waste your $$ on them.
Even now, with the 'official' battery, when taking flash photos or zooming a lot, I find that it is only taking around 150 - 200 shots, when Kodak boast over 400.
But I must say the capabilities of the camera (esp the quality video) outstrip any annoyance battery wise.
Hope this helps, regards Wayne
