The D600 doesn't have native bluetooth support, unless you have a custom build version. It does have an iRDA port (infrared), but most devices need a secondary program operating in order to use this information. What are you trying to do?

Hi, IBM ThinkPad R52 PC (1860-2nu) comes with Infrared and wi-fi however it has no bluetooth. If you want to use bluetooth, you may buy a USB Bluetooth adapter. It can be connected with the laptopvia USB port and works just fine.
Hope it helps! Good Luck! Thanks for using Fixya! CreativeTECH

Bluetooth and infrared are not working

Since it's been since September, you might not have much hope if you complain now to the installer that he broke the board. You can try to get them to work with you on offering a reduced price on the part or labor, but the only way you'll fix the computer is to replace the motherboard again. Check if there was any kind of warranty on the previous service. You might get lucky and have some part of the repair covered still. As an immediate fix, check into USB Bluetooth adapters. As long as the USB ports still work you can use that option.

Press Fn+F5 to open the Wireless Radio Control and turn on the Integrated Bluetooth features.

Dell latitude d600 pc notebook, infrared and bluetooth problem

Check the device manager to see if the drivers for the infrared device are there. If they aren't there, then go to Dell's site and download them. If they are, unistall, reinstall, the check Dell's site for updates. If the device manager shows everything working properly, the device itself may be malfunctioning. The same procedure for the bluetooth device.
