Compaq Sound Card Driver Help Needed (by 3 users)

I can see why this card is a problem with a lot of people. Good o'le
Compaq changed the card supplied under the name "Compaq premier Sound"
before they revised the driver files for it.

First if you are installing this card into another Compaq computer
then you are going to HAVE to get this file (bad idea). But you don't
have a choice. Here's the file:

Use a FTP client to get this file NOT your browser. This file is 49
(forty nine) Megabytes in size (49 MB). It's the all the drivers for
Win9x NT, etc. and support for 23 languages too!

Now if you are NOT installing this into another Compaq then you might
want to try the "generic" drivers from Creative. The ES1373 chipset is
used on the SB PCI128 sound card. This is the location of the file:
