Error Message? My sharp copier AR 235, gives me this message: 'Tray 1 is out of service' . What can I do and what's the meaning of that?

L6 10 Content Polygon motor lock trouble

Details The polygon motor does not rotate.

The motor lock signal is detected for 6sec

or more after the polygon motor rotates.

The motor lock signal is detected for 1sec

during rotation of the polygon motor.

Cause Polygon motor unit failure

Polygon motor connection harness trouble

or disconnection

MCU PWB failure

Check

and

remedy

Check the polygon motor operation with

SIM 61-1.

Check connector/harness of polygon

motor

Replace the polygon motor.
Replace the MCU PWB.

If the polygon motor isn't working then you will neeto buy a new Laser Unit. They can be expensive if you can get one. To replace it will tak alot of disassembly as well. Might be better and more cost effective to get a new machine.

It's a communication error between the base machine with the LCC ( Large Capacity Tray ) Try reset by following this step :
Press [#] [interupt] [c] [interupt] [1] [6] [start]

The copier will be reset and hopefully your error code too.

according the manual F2-04 means drum data read problem,may be it can be reset why don't give a try;
1, power on,
2, press "clear","interupt", "0", "interupt"
3, press 14 prss start
4, press clear

try a reset with sim 16 first, it just may go away
