This really depends on what Rainbow you have and which Aquamate you are using. There really is not an adapter for the Aquamate. The newest aquamate out there is for the E2 type 12 black that came out in 2012.
There is a modification of this aquamate to fit older E series vacuums (comes with a cord) , but you will need to have an electrified hose made for water pick up to use. You can find that aquamate here Rainbow AquaMate 3 carpet shampooer
Rainbow E Series attachment hoses fit the wand with friction. The wand will just twist and pull out of an attachment hose. Now for use with an Aquamate, if you have the newest aquamate like here: Rainbow AquaMate 3 carpet shampooer , the aquamate needs an electrified hose made for water pickup and a stainless steel long pipe (stainless steel so it will not rust, you can use chrome but it will rust) .
You should have a non-electric hose which you want to attach to the vacuum suction, then take the long skinny hose and hook it to you kitchen faucet. You may have to unscrew the end piece from your faucet. turn on youir hot water. On the handle of the aquamate, there is a little holder. Unhook it by releasing the yellow button. Put your shampoo to the line, no need to dilute, the Aquamate will mix the right amount to the water. Now you are ready to shampoo. You can pick up water until you hear the machine stress out. That is time to change the water in the basin. It is probably best to change it before that, but don't worry, the separator keeps it out of the motor. Hope this helps fixya! Thanks, Let me know, Rene (the Vacuum Doctor)
You should have the new aquamate, it has a blue top to fill with the water and water/soap solution that pops down into place. You will need to use your power nozzle hose and tube, connect it to your shampooer (make sure to connect the power connection just like the power nozzle). Fill your water up, large compartment is for cold water only and the smaller compartment is for one cap full of soap then the rest filled with cold water. Start with just a splash of water or an empty basin in the rainbow. The trigger will control your water spray and the brush underneath. There are two levers on the back of the shampooer marked with a shower head and a bar of soap. Use the soap with the shower head and the soap on and the water only with just the shower head on. You will want to also go over the area shampooed with both off to **** up the remaining water. Make sure to clean your floor thoroughly before shampooing.
