My AV-48WP74 JVC TV is making a pulsating sound and then shuts off. There is no picture or sound. How can I fix this problem and get my TV back working again?!

i'm having the same problem. I looked at the power board where the power directly comes in and there was nothing wrong with the power coming off it going to the main power board that goes to everything else on the tv. At first I thought it was a cap. but I'm not so sure it isn't something with the bulbs for the lenses.

TV, i plug it in, turn it on, no image, "on timer" light comes on.

If you dont hear a click theres a problem in the standby power supply. if you do hear a click theres a problem in the Main power supply or sweep supply. Get a good tech to look at this for you if your not a tech. Good Luck
