Question about Operating Systems

Getting download to end up in the proper folder.

I sent this already, but I'm not sure whether it left. I use Mininova to download material, but lately the material keeps ending up in Frostwire, whereas it used to go to U Torrent. Does anyone know how to make U Torrent my permanent download folder? Thanks, John.

I tried that, but for some reason I couldn't get the "Open with" direction to show up. I muddled along and THINK I may have cracked it! At least the one I tried THIS time opened up in U Torrent. . It'll probably revert, like it did last time. Thank you for your guidance! John.

You probably associated torrents to download with FrostWire so all you need to do is right click on a torrent file and go to Properties. Then Open With then choose your wanted downloader and press OK.

Hope this works

Choose the recipients. Under the Recipients box, type in the email addresses of all the people you want to share this folder with. These people will need SugarSync accounts in order to join your shared folder.

Add a personal message. There is a text box under "Recipients" where you can add a custom or personal message to welcome them and give them a background of your folder. This is optional though.

Send the invitation. When you're ready, click on the "Send Invitation" button. An email will be sent to your recipients inviting them to join your shared folder. Once your recipients accept the invitation, your shared folder will be created, downloaded, and synced on their computers.

When i click on new folder option it does nothing

Which operating system ?
Restore Folder Options in Windows XP
Windows XP has several viewing options that you can modify for folders in Windows Explorer. These include being able to customize whether you activate items by clicking them once or twice, whether Windows displays hidden and protected files and several other options.
If you have played with these options in an attempt to determine how you prefer to use your computer, you may accidentally reach the point where you have changed so many items that you are unsure of how to revert to the original configuration.
For this reason, Windows XP allows you to restore the folder options to their defaults by clicking a button.
Open Windows Explorer.
Two of the fastest ways to do this are by clicking the "Start" button and then clicking "My Computer" and by double clicking the "My Computer" icon on the desktop.

Click the "Tools" drop-down menu and select "Folder Options."

Click the "General" tab, and then click the "Restore Defaults" button if you would like to restore the default settings for the "Common Tasks" bar on the left side of folders, whether new folders open in the same window or a new window and whether items open with a single click or double click.

Click the "View" tab, and then click the "Restore Defaults" button if you would like to restore any advanced view settings to their defaults, such as whether Windows displays hidden and protected files.

Click the "Reset All Folders" button if you would like to restore the default viewing option to all folders, such as the detailed view or list view.

Click "OK" to save your changes.

On a Mac, how do you download. What are the steps. I have Transmission on my desktop. I go to mininova.com Can you help me.

Mininova.com just seems to be a portal page with additional links to other sites. It does not appear to offer any actual downloads. If you keep clicking the links, you'll eventually get to a music download, such as Napster. Here is a quick link for Napster, with a free trial, if this will help. http://tinyurl.com/ygn9u45

I have deleted some messages from my sent box and i need to get them back to make sure what i sent to a certain person

When you delete emails they go into your "deleted folder".
Only if you delete this folder then they will be deleted.
Have you checked your deleted folder.
if they are in there you can restore them back to your sent folder.
if you have deleted them then you will have to use a undelete program to try and find them. The more you have used your computer after you have deleted them the less chance of undeleting them as they may have been written over several times and are unrecoverable.
try an undelete program.

When an meeting update is sent out attendees are not getting the updated version of it. We are using outlook 2003, exchange server 2003 and BES

Did u patch the system recently? See the log. And check whether its delivered properly.
If u patched the Exchange that might be the cause. Did u check sending from an external source to outlook? If it works fine then its a problem with messaging configurations with the exchange server. May be because of a patch. If so you have to remove and check. View the log to check whether their is any permission issues. Check the recipients' spam folder also. Check whether the recipients registration is altered. Please rate the answer. :)
