They pop right off. The easiest way I have found to do this is to use a small thin screw driver, once off press the new one in place.

I'm tring to install the key board and the mice.

Keyboard and mouse are wireless so all you need is to make sure you fit good batteries and maybe you may need to press a pairing button to make the PC recognise them.

Unlock keyboard

This happens when the Keylock on some (usually older PCs or PCs used in corporate environments. Those PC actually fitted with a physical Key lock and usually comes with a small lock and a key. try to locate the lock on the casing. If you can find it just short circuit the two wires and you can access the keyboard. It you can't locate it, it means the lock is removed and you'll have to locate the connector /jumper on the motherboard by carefully inspecting it. It could have some writings to identify it (KYLCK, KBLOCK, KEYLOCK etc). Again short circuit it and try. Do not do this if you are unfamiliar with PC hardware and leave it to a professional.
Hope this helps

SILLY QUESTION. how CAN I GET a WRITTEN Answers About The Key Letters F1 To F 12. What Each Function Key Means.Thank You Paul Lavigne

The F-keys are just keys. If they had proper meanings they would have glyphs assigned like @ or % or $ or R. If you want a cheat-sheet about the uses of the F-keys in various programs, take notes in a program or on paper and print a cheat-sheet out. It beats buying another screen just to display that info, epsecially with the number and variety of programs out there.

Within the scope of a certain BIOS or OS environment, e.g. the desktop or Microsoft Word in normal editing mode, they can have particular meanings. Accordingly, you can buy neat plastic templates that fit down in your keyboard (from Global Supply, or Corel, or various publishers and special interest groups) or office supply stores, and get some intuition on how to work more efficiently.

I hope I'm answering what you were wondering about!
You know, in Linux, a keyboard with multimedia volume control keys generally has to be set up so those keys mean something manually. On the other hand, you can set up stuff you really want done.

F keys don't work on a micrpsoft keyboard 1000 wireless

Many of the wireless keyboards and Natural Keyboards from Microsoft have the F-Lock key.

Here is a description of what the F-Lock does from a 3rd party website (

F Lock Key

The F Lock key on the Microsoft Keyboards is a relatively new concept facility for Microsoft Keyboards. Introduced with the Office Keyboard and used in later keyboards, it essentially allows keys to do more than one operation. The F Lock key, depending on its state, will allow either a function key's "normal" operation or a new "enhanced" operation. The initial state of the F Lock key is "off", and in this state, the function keys use their "enhanced" operation.

The F Lock key is a hardware switch in the keyboard. Its state cannot be controlled programatically. Its default condition is "off". As a result, whenever the keyboard is reset, or loses power, the F Lock key will always be in an "off" state.

For some, this is not a desirable default; some people want "normal" function key operation.

Certain keys won't function on keyboard

Could be that the connector from the keyboard to the mainboard is crooked. Try taking the keyboard off and wiggling the connector from the keyboard to the board so that it is a snugger fit.
