Is there anything wrong with my GoGear?

There is actually nothing wrong. Manufacturers declare it to be 4 GB but in reality it is a little less. THis is because of the computation of bytes in a megabyte and in a Gigabyte. So dont worry if you are only able to save that as it is normal.

I have the philips mp3 GoGear with 8 GB, how do i


try using the arcsoft media converter 3 it automaticly transfers the files over to the right folder in the player see if that helps

Connect your player to the pc that has the Philips device manager running, then reset the player by holding the off-switch and the volume-+ (plus) switch. As soon as the player shuts off, press and hold the volume- - (minus) switch. The Philips device manager will recognize the player now, and recommend a repair, do so.

Uninstall the MTP Device by going to Start --> Control Panel --> Printers and Other Hardware --> System --> Hardware --> Device Manager - should stop the connect/disconnect issue.

I had the same problem. Nothing wrong with usb you just need a .2 ampere charge. PC USB is not enough. I got an external adaptor and works fine.

just download youtube converter it is freeware.add the file ,choose the format i.e avi ,get the output file .now load it on philips media converter it will read and work.

Hold in the volume + button and connect it to the computer; continue to hold in the volume+ button until it says Found Hardware Wizard - it will repair the device if your problem is software-related.
