To connect my Logitech X540 to my Hitachi L42VP01U

Hi there my wife has just brought me a Logitech X540 and I want to be able to connect to my Hitachi L42VP01U TV. I have looked on here to try to find the answer and one suggestion was to connect the Green plug from the audio input to the line out jack on my TV. Unless I am missing something the lead does not fit into my Audio line out on my TV. Do I just need to buy a convertor? Any ideas please. Thanks

Hi thanks for getting back to me, But I have sent them back for a refund as I think I should really spend a bit more time reviewing what I really need before I buy the next set. Thanks again.

The suggestion to my guess is right, audio input to the line out jack on tv for it too work you would need the head phone jack witch would go in to auido in an split to RCA Audio out (TV) Witch meaning, adapter to convert regular RCA type (red/white) connectors to a standard mini plug (Headphone type) Hope it Works

Can the logitech x540 suround speakers be connected to a TV? If so, how? Thank you

If your tv got an headphone output, like a computer, yes.
However, you could still plug it to a video game console, xbox, playstation, with the included adapter.

The mains transformer in my Logitech x540 has blown (oc on the primary). I've taken it out and its a simple single coil primary and secondary, but there are no markings on it to indicate the secondary...

You would need to rewind the coils.Do not try to do it by yourself if you have no idea what you are up-to...this time it was transformer next time it could it could be your circuit.Take it to a professional, the charges won't be much.
Good Luck.

Im trying to connect my Logitech X-530 to my PS3.

You need a digital decoder that is compatible with the ps3 and the speakers.

You would then run a digital optical link from the ps3 to the decoder and the normal speaker cables from the decoder to the speakers.

Decoders can be quite expensive and it can sometimes be easier to buy a set of 5.1s with the decoder either built in or included with the package.

Suspected blown fuse somewhere but no sign of it

Am sure that the internal transformer is gone, You would have powered your speaker with a step up/step down transformer, you need to see a technician around you that can help you out, you need to replace a 220V-230V transformer in the speaker since your country requires that.
