Hi tajerri,

What sort of network problems are we talking about. network as in network adapters or a intranet(no that is not mispelled-intranet is a closed access server network i.e. home or office enviroment networks). I will be more than happy to assist once the issue is clearly stated.

respectfully,

Is there a wireless switch on my Gateway Desktop, and if so, where?

If your Gateway desktop has wireless it is probably automatically on without any need to turn it on. To turn it off you can disable the wireless network under the Network section of control panel....just "disable" the wireless network connection.

DOESN'T DETECT WIFI

The wireless feature on a Gateway computer allows you to connect to a network without the hassle of cables. This allows you to browse the Internet conveniently wherever you are. Gateway computers rely on Windows operating systems, which come with a built-in feature to manage your wireless connection. This feature makes turning off your wireless connection an easy process if, for a moment, you prefer to connect to the Internet using a wired connection.

Click the Windows "Start" menu and click the "Control Panel." Click Network and Internet Connections > Network Connection, if you are using a Windows XP Gateway computer. You should see your wireless connection. For Windows Vista and 7 Gateway computers, click "Network and Sharing Center" from the Control Panel and click "Manage Wireless Connections." You should see your wireless connection. Right-click your wireless connection and click "Disable" to turn it off. Close "Network Connections" when you are done.

Whatare the obstacles and incompatibilities that may arise in a multivendor networking

one of the problems for this is that "how" you set up your network because in this kind of business, when a gateway or a pc in the entire domain or workgroup is down, can possibly affect the entire business. So you need to strengthen your network (a backup would be a need) for continuous operation.

Gateway 505GR not showing LAN line for internet

assuming it's XP,right click my computer>properties>hardware tab>device manager, then look down list for network adapters, if its there click the '+' sign, then right click on the network adapter and select uninstall.

Restart pc and the network card will be found and the driver automatically installed.

It should now be in network connections, if not reply back
