First ensure the webcam is Vista compatible.

Also ensure you have right driver software for yor webcam.

Install software for the webcam before connecting the cam to usb.

If you still get in trouble , do the following (Vista only):

Locate camera driver software on disk, or on downloaded files.
Click right mouse button on installer file.
A menu will drop down, chose "run as administrator".
Say yes whenever asked for authorizations to system changes.

If you need drivers for your cam, post a new request on Fixya providing make and model. To post a request use link here:Solve Your Problems

There is no official Vista drivers for your webcam.
Try this alternative Vista drivers, Here. Uninstall any previous drivers you have installed. Do a clean drivers install to your laptop.

Good luck.

You have not install the webcam drivers and software needed to run the device. You have to install drivers & software compatible to win 7 or the webcam will not function since you have upgraded your OS from Vista.

Micrsoft Vista office

You can install Office 2007 without having any doubt on it because Vista is derivedversion of XP (both are from microsot) so there will be no problems.

Drivers

Hi

If you are using Win XP or Win Vista 32-bit Any edition, it will not ask you for any drivers as it will install the generic usb drivers once you connect the device.
If you are using Vista 64-bit any edition, the you have to get the drivers for Vista 64-bit OS from the manufacturer website.
