Try it on an other computer... if that fails, it might have developed bad sectors (spots) reformat and do a scan, which writes and reads all memory locations... might be corrupted and/or broken, but try another computer first to make sure it is not a driver issue.
If you right-click on the removable device and go to properties, when in there uncheck the read-only box and click OK. If that doesn't sort it check the actual card itself and see if there is a switch or slider on it that can be moved.
1.Look for a switch or button on the side of the micro SD card or adapter. It might have a lock/unlock symbol on it.
2.Move the switch to the "Unlocked" position to remove write protection. This position may also be labeled "R/W" for read/write. If you have no switch, continue to Step 3.
3.Download and install Sony EzRecover (see Resources for link) and attempt to use it to format the card (this will erase all content). If this doesn't work, try Step 4.
4.Delete and repartition the micro SD card using Windows XP. Select "Control Panel" > "Administrative Tools" > "Disk Management." Select the micro SD drive and click "Delete." Right-click on empty drive and select "New Partition."
Any time you see "write protect" it usually means there is a small switch on the device which prevents deleting data accidentally, even by writing over it.
Look for a small sliding switch and flip it to opposite position. That should fix it.
When the flash memory USB hard drive device appears to malfunction it maybe possible to restore it by reformatting it. Insert the flash or USB hard drive into the USB port then Click on Control Panel - Administrative Tools - Computer Management - Disk Management. Then right click on Disk 1 removable drive and click Format. After the flash drive has been formatted it will indicate that it is Healthy. NOTE Formating the USB flash drive will delete your data.
Sometimes when a flash memory stick fails because it was not removed from the USB port properly. If the device is removed by just pulling it out of the USB port, it can cause the flash device to fail, you must click on the Safely Remove Hardware icon on the Task Bar and select the device you wish to remove and only do so when instructed to do so. Remove Jet Flash Write Protection
Insert the mini CD that came with the USB Flash disk. Start JF
Utility.exe in the JF Utility directory. If it complains that the disk
is write protected, choose "Continue" Choose "Partition" Answer "Yes"
to losing all your data (Since this becomes a problem usually after
formating the disk in WinXP or Win9x, you will most probably not have
any data on there in any case) Choose "Public Area Only (Single
Partition)", Then "OK", Then "OK" again. Unplug the device, reinsert
device, and voila!- no more dark secret areas or write protection on
