Click start control panel administration tools computer management device manager scroll to display adapters + to expand you might see a yellow question mark ? or exclamation mark ! or a red x right click select reinstall drivers You might need to upgrade your graphics card drivers. You might have to remove your graphics card to make sure the socket is clean restart your computer the reinstall it this should activate found new hardware wizard if your computer came with a mother board disk the drivers could be on it Click start control panel display desktop you can select a different desktop from the drop down list or a browse button where you can select different pictures this may vary depending on your operating system also you can change the settings for more or less pixels or from the drop down list pick the appropriate level of color range or troubleshoot also select advanced then general dpi normal , larger or custom settings
Always click APPLY after making any changes windows 7 Open Personalization by clicking the Start button, clicking Control Panel, clicking Appearance and Personalization, and then clicking Personalization. Click Window Color and Appearance. Under Window Color and Appearance, click the color you want, and then click OK. Note If you see the Appearance Settings dialog box instead of the Window Color and Appearance window, the theme might not be set to Windows Vista, the color scheme might not be set to Windows Aero, or the computer might not meet the minimum hardware requirements for running Windows Aero. If a laptop screen is changing colour to pink, what is the solution?

More than likely you will need a new screen. It could be the screen or it could be the video card inside the computer. Try connecting another screen to the laptop to isolate the problem. Borrow a screen from a neighbor, friend, relative or co-worker and connect it to the laptop. If the Borrowed monitor displays ok without the changing color to pink then your video card is ok and the problem is your original screen needs to be replaced. If the Borrowed monitor displays the same pink colors then your video card inside the computer is bad.

The video will show on most systems when you reboot without you having to do anything. Some systems will require you to hit the FN (Function key) + F1 thru F12. Hold down the FN key then hit the correct key for displaying on the monitor (F1 thru F12). The correct key will normally have CRT/LCD on it or it will have the icon of a display.

Had a virus got rid off it but now screen is white and cannot do anything with it

A white blank screen? That sounds like the virus changed your display settings. Click Ctrl+Alt+Del to get to the task manager. Press and hold the Ctrl key plus the Alt Key then hit the Del key. When the task manager opens up Click File at the upper left corner of the window then select New Task RUN. When the create New Task Window opens type: explorer.exe and hit OK. See if it starts populating your desktop icons and shows the start menu and task bar. If so, the virus changed your settings.

To change your display background click Start/Control Panel and look for Display or Appearance and Personalization. When it opens select the Desktop tab and change the desktop background. Hopefully the white will go away.

You may have to get into Safe Mode to do the above if the virus disabled the Task Manager.

I want to factory reset a mini 10 but screen is broke(i am using t.v) im afraid to start the process and then not be able to see anything after

Yes that could be horrid. Try setting the tv as your only screen. If you go to l settings Navigate to the "Start" menu, and click it once to open it. Select "Control Panel." Click "Adjust Screen Resolution" under "Appearance and Personalization." Click the drop-down arrow next to "Multiple Displays" in the window that opens. Select "Show Desktop Only On 2." Windows will disable the Mini 10 display and use the external monitor as the primary screen Read more: How to Run an External Monitor on a Dell Inspiron Mini 9 ' eHow.com http://www.ehow.com/how_6821296_run-dell-inspiron-mini-9.html#ixzz1hFvetaud

My my laptop got black screen when I start the window program.

What version of Windows are you running? Can you get the computer display to stay on in the BIOS setup screen? If so, you may have a missing or corrupted file in the operating system. A good check is to download a copy of Ubuntu Linux to a flash memory stick and set up the computer to boot from that.

If the display blacks out even in BIOS setup, try shining a flashlight on the screen at an angle. If you see the log-in screen or whatever around the light spot (it will be faint), then you have a backlight failure. The screen has a couple of cold-cathode fluorescent lamp (CCFL) tubes behind it driven by a high voltage inverter. If one of the tubes is bad, the inverter will turn off after a few seconds - just long enough to get to the boot program in a normal startup. Watch carefully when you turn on the computer - if the top or bottom is dim, flickering, or pink-colored, you definitely have a bad tube.

CCFL tubes are $12-$20, depending on the display model. Replacement requires considerable soldering expertise, as well as the mechanical ability to disassemble the display panel without breaking anything.

I can't get it to display anything but large icons and 800x640 display. It is way too large displaying anything.I have tried looking for a newer driver to no avail foe the multi media display.

  • Hi, you can try this; in a clear area of the Desktop screen (right)) click, once the desktop window2_bing.gif open, click on Personalize, next click on Display Settings. You can adjust the brightness by doing the following: On the "resolution scale" adjust from (Low>High) you can do this until you are satisfied with the view. In the ("Colors drop box"), select the down (Arrow), and choose the "Highest" color (16bits>32bits) etc. Next click to open the (Advance settings), select the ("List All Modes") button, once the window open choose the (Highest) settings: example (1366 by 768, True Color (32bit), 60 Hertz. Remember to click the "Apply", and "OK" buttons after each selection, and changes. "Restart the computer, to finalize the application." "Did this solution help?"

Window xp display

This should be your graphics card driver is not it. The original installation of hardware drivers may be better.

If that is not what system you set up the software in question. Can be re-systems.
