Question about HP LaserJet 2550n Printer
found a (the?) solution deep down in the web, and it worked for me: The four cartridges are hinged in a big gear wheel left and right of the printer. The wheel is driven by two small gear wheels sitting on a shaft abovee. It can happen that the gears jump one or two tooth on one side, then the cartridges are no longer aligned with the transfer drum (you can see the different gap size from top).
Solution: Take out the cartridges, the drum kit and the fixing unit. Select the black cartridge. Undo the power cord. Undo the side panels (screw at the bottom, then hooks). Take off the rear top panel at the printed paper bay (there are screw driver signs left and right, lift there. Do not try to lift this panel from the back side). Take a close look at the gear wheel linkage of the top cover at the right side, you need to reasemble this afterwards. Take off the top cover. Now you can see the shaft with the small gear wheels driving the big ones that carry the cartridges. When the black cartridge is selected, the two little notches on the small wheels must align with a pale stripe on the big wheels. You can bend the big wheels a bit to move the gears towards each other. You can turn the wheels when you lift the electromagnetic lock on the top right side. Once aligned, put back the top cover in place (with the linkage on the right side). Then you can start a test run after cartridges, drumkit and fixing unit are back in place.
Hope this helps you!

By what i am hearing from 5 different people it is a printer issue. But in saying that when i read the first one i was thinking that it may be the software or the way the computer has set the settings for that printer check your settings.
