Everything on my computer screen is upside down

Someone may have pulled a prank on you. They have either used a little program that does it, or if you're using Windows XP or Vista, it may be built in. If it is XP try holding down the ctrl alt keys, and the up arrow. It you have the right graphics card, that should work.

Why would everything on my laptop screen be upside down

Hi.

You may have accidentally hit a sequence of keys and now your Windows screen is upside down.

Press Ctrl + Alt + arrow (left, right, up or down) to rotate the screen to the correct way.

Regards.

To change your display orientation within Windows XP is to hold the Ctrl and Alt keys, then press the left, right, up, or down arrow key corresponding to the direction you want the screen aligned with.

I have a optima projector. When I hook it up to the laptop with windows Vista the image is upside down. When I use the laptop with windows xp everything works fine, The setting on the projector is set...

Hmmmm... You sure should have an option in your Control Panel for that settings. Try exploring your "Screen Resolution" by right clinking on the Desktop, and clicking "Screen Resolution". There'll be options for "Detect" and "Identify". When you connect your Projector, try the "Detect" option and see if a new Display is detected. If there is, click on it and look for "Advanced Settings" and try to find the option for "Invert" or "Mirror" display or something like that.
Or the easier option is to mount your Optima upside down but of course you won't do that as it may be very absurd and funny. (Kidding...

Dell inspiron 1545 screen go upside down, when i turn of an then back on, i used f1 for it to go upright but soon i turn off an back on its upside agine cann u help ??

Within Windows XP, certain video drivers or graphics card chipsets supporting 180 degree screen rotation can cause the Windows XP display to be presented upside down. This can be (but is not always) tied to lowering the screen resolution in some accessibility programs.

To revert to a right-side up display, hold down the CTRL, ALT and UP (arrow) keys.

If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it and give a testimonial for my response

Thanks, Joe

Upside down screen

You can right click on your desktop and look for a section called "graphics properties." Somewhere inside that group there should be a screen rotation section where you can select a degree measure. Also, you can set this in the same place where you set the screen resolution. If you're using Windows XP, right click the desktop, properties, settings tab. If you're using Windows 7, right click the desktop, screen resolution.

My dell laptop/windows xp now has a half-size, upside down screen

Hold down CTRL and ALT keys and press UP arrow to turn it back to normal. For the screen size, right click on an empty space on Desktop and select Properties then go to Settings tab. On screen resolution move the bar to adjust the screen size to your desired one.

Hey,

Give the CTRL + ALT + *An Arrow Key*, if not try, CTRL + *An Arrow Key*, or ALT + *An Arrow Key*.

Sorry, I just forgot which one xD.

Windows XP: Flipping the screen upside down and back again

Once, at University, someone had flipped the screens of all the public computers (running on Windows XP) of the English Department upside down. The wallpaper, desktop icons, fonts, mouse-cursor and even the start-up screen...everything was displayed or moved upside down. People could not check out their e-mails or surf or do anything.
To reverse the upside down screen mode, press ctrl, alt and the up arrow (arrows console) at the same time; the screen will probably go blank. Turn off the monitor, turn it on again and the display will be normal again. If you possess a sense of humour or are antisocial, press ctrl, alt and the down arrow simultaneously, turn off the monitor, turn it on again and everyone (excluding the culprit) will be desperate --> upside down! Works for Windows XP Home and Prof.
