You need to Go for Pc Recovery from HP it self or you can get the recovery cds for it.
Try :-
Opening Recovery Console
The following steps open a Recovery Console:
1. Shut Down Your Computer and as soon as you turn your computer On Keep pressing F10 key on the Key board,
You will get an welcome to recovery manager screen after that it will ask you if you want ot run recovery.
after that you need to follow the screen Instructions.

Or either try.
Using the Checkdisk Utility
Use the following steps start the recovery console and use chkdsk to resolve startup issues:
1.Open a recovery console. For more information about how to open a recovery console, refer to the section above: Opening Recovery Console .
2. At the C:\Windows> prompt in the recovery console enter chkdsk /r .
NOTE:If chkdsk /r fails to start from the selected prompt, type chkdsk c: /r (note the space before and after the drives c:). If you are using a recovery console or Tools CD, type chkdsk d: /r , or chkdsk h: /r .
Chkdsk starts.
The time required depends on the size of the hard drive (it checks unused portions of the hard drive) and the amount of software installed. When chkdsk /r completes the screen displays the size of the volume checked and the allocation units. If errors are detected the result are displayed as CHKDSK found and fixed one or more errors on the volume . This is normal.
3.Type EXIT and press Enter on the keyboard.
The PC restarts.
4.If you used the Recovery Console from a CD, while the PC is restarting, press the Eject button on the CD drive and wait a few seconds for the drive tray to open. Remove Recovery Console from the optical drive.

Use a regular Windows install disk and find from here
http://www.emachines.com/support/drivers.html
and install the drivers yourself.

System restore emachines T3504 disc missing, emachines no longer offers disc! computer is not that old! help! my daughter is heartbroken! i need the disk to complete a system restore.

Is their files that need to be retrieved from the computer? If you were doing a restore they would be lost. You have other options. Your best option is to just purchase a copy of windows xp and install a fresh copy of windows. you will still have to find the drivers on the internet and download and install the. All of this work should really be done by someone who is computer savvy but its really not that difficult.
Let me know if you have other questions.
Thanks,
Lee

EMachines PC that has not yet been thrown out the window, but....

If this computer came with XP Home, and you don't have a disc, then they would have put the restore files in a separate partition on the hard drive. Do you have the manual for the pc? It's possible to recover your system without losing everything. What happened when you used the recovery disks and XP Pro?

I have a Gateway notebook MX8716b which had a problem so I used the Operating system disc to over come the problem and since then I have no sound from the computer and I am being told I HAVE NO AUDIO OUT...

Dear Alan

you can download the sound driver for XP ,for your notebook from this site:

http://downloads.emachines.com/drive...07-003-001.exe

Note that for the sound to work you need to install some Windows Updates to support HD audio devices. So run Windows Update and do all the downloads.
And install this: ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp26001-26500/sp26334.exe

Need large disc support for old emachine, flash bios? or try restore cds?

Hi,
flashing a bios, can render your machine/motherboard useless.
You should always ensure any bios download is from a trusted source. if you experience a power failure, or an incomplete bios file. your computers as good as dead.
Windows 95/98 only supports disk drives to a certain capacity. if you updated to windows 2000/ME/XP your problems may be solved. I,d certainly try that first.
Bios flashing Last resort, even after finding a reliable bios update. also ensure the bios file is 256mb-512mb or equivalent. as this is standard bios file size.
Finally check that your hard-drive does not have a jumper ( Small white/black ) plastic block restricting the drives registered size.
When you install windows XP, it will ask you if you wish to enable LBA ( large block Allocation ) Select Y ( yes )
