Only a 4GB Micro SD works with this phone. I first tried a 16GB and it didn't register at all, but the 4 does. By the way, finding the Micro SD slot is also hard to find at first. It's located under the battery.
Most T-Mobile Dash phones will only recognize a 2gb sd card. I've only heard of some 4gb cards working, what type of card do you have? Unfortunately it's probably a compatibility issue and you'll need to get a 2gig scandisk, a 4gb scandisk might work, I'm not sure though.
The original Blackjack will not recognize anything larger than 2gb. Sorry, but you just wasted buying those 4 gb. cards. I found this out the hard way too when I bought my daughter a 4gb card for her Blackjack. I have a BJ2 which will recognize the 4gb cards.

The Ming is a very new product, and is not yet released in the USA. My suggestion is to contact Motorola directly. They are very good about warranty and will most likely overnight you a replacement.
