It is either a USB or Parallel cable. Easy to the look in the back and see if you see a long oblong connector = parallel or small sort of oval shape = USB.
If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it.
Thanks, Joe

Need to reconnect internal video cables

I don't understand what you are trying to say, but this is what I think you're saying. The onboard video card went bad and now you need to put in another one so that you can connect the monitor.

If that's true, you don't put another video card on the motherboard. You go out and purchase a Video Card that goes into one of the available PCI Slots on the back of the computer. It goes inside, but sticks out the back so you can connect the cable from the monitor to it.

I have a Dell dimension 350 pc with just a modem connection for a phone line. I just got cable installed which has the ethernet hookup. i would like to still use my 350 with win. 98 if i can. how can i...

Does your cable modem have wireless internet? If so, you can buy a Netgear wireless usb port adapter for about $20 and use that to connect wirelessly to the internet. Your pc has usb port connections - right? (Usb port looks like a rectangle)

If you don't want to use a wireless connection you can purchase a cable modem with a usb connection for about $65. You run the ethernet cable to the modem and then a usb cable from the modem to your pc.

If you have a serial cable connection on your pc (looks like a round circle with tiny metal pins in it) you can buy a gender changer and convert that to usb (in case you dont have a usb connection or need another one). You can buy one for about $11.

You can buy an I/O Gear bluetooth usb adapter for $13 and pick up the internet via bluetooth by putting it in your usb port but I'm unsure how well it would work with Win 98.

If you have another pc that has an ethernet connection you could use good old fashioned bi directional printer cable and network both computers together. You may need to upgrade to win xp for networking capabilities.

I don't have installation cd of lexmark x2450. how can i do it to install?

Any drivers you need can be found on the lexmark website. Note that some printers need the software installed before hooking up the printer. I'd try to install the printer first. The software will tell you if the printer needs to be connected.

HP PSC 1510 ALL-IN-ONE IS NOT FUNCTIONING, ALL LIGHTS ARE BLINGKING.

This means that the PSC 1510 has a fatal error. Try resetting the all-in-one - turn off the unit. Unplug the power cord from the printer and then from the wall. (Also disconnect the data cable - it's not required but can help.) Wait a few seconds then reconnect the power cord (wall and then printer). Turn on the printer.

Check that the control panel overlay is properly installed and connected. (If the printer has worked until recently, do not pry up the overlay. Just press down firmly to make sure the adhesive and pins are situated properly.) If this is a new printer, turn off the unit, unplug the power cord and lift up the scanner lid. Then install or reseat the overlay. Make sure the tabs are in the slots and then press down firmly on the edges to secure the adhesive. Then put on the faceplate. Close the scanner lid, plug in the power cord and turn on the printer.

If the above solutions do not solve the problem, then the all-in-one needs service. If it is under warranty, contact HP. Otherwise, decide if it is worth repairing (and the cost of shipping to a service center, if you don't live close to one).

I hope this helps.

I NEED TO KNOW HOW TO WIRE MY PRINTER TO MY COMPUTER

If your talking about a direct connection (not a network connection) then you need the proper cable (either a parallel cable or a USB cable if the printer is newer) one end of the cable goes into the back of the printer and the other end plugs into the back of your computer.
If you trying to network the printer then you need to provide a lot more information. Like make/model of printer, type of router or network environment and whether your printer is wireless or wired.

I just purchased a HP printer, scanner, and copier all in one. I have an emachines computer. I started to install the printer with the enclosed CD and discovered I needed a USB cable that was not included...

Hi Angela'
Usually printers are shipped without USB cables.
There is no particular cable you need for your printer.
It is a standard USB printer cable which you can ask for at your local computer store.

I need printer cable for a HP K60

It's one of two things (you can connect it in two ways).

First, locally installed all you need a is a USB A/B cable.

If you have an available network jack on a router you can use a standard RJ-45 network cable.

You can get both for under ten bucks at a local computer store.

The lcd monitor does not have a picture and will not shut off when it has power.

§ Turn Off the Monitor.
§ Unplug all the Cables from the back of the Monitor.
§ After unplugging all the Cables press and Hold the Power Button at the Front of the Monitor for 20 Seconds.
§ Plug all the cables back.
§ Turn it on.
§ See if you get the Picture on the Monitor.
§ if you don’t get any Picture then.
§ Unplug the Cable which is connected at the Back of the CPU.
§ If you get the Message "No Input Signal” or "Check Video Signal" it means that Your Monitor is Fine.
§ Try doing the Factory Default settings from the menu Buttons at the Front of the Monitor.
§ If you don’t get any Message then it means you Monitor has Gone Bad and Needs to be replaced.

Printer that came with my order

Hi CainF, most printers do not come with the USB cable needed to connect PC to printer. Click on this link below.
http://www.csncables.com/Cables-to-Go-1317X-1340X-GY1045.html
To get a close up view of the ends of the printer cable click additional images just below & to the left of the picture.
You can find these printer cables at most PC stores or you can buy directly from the site above. Their prices are average or better.

Good Luck!
